Great but...

I love this app, however to echo previous reviews the tokens issue is so frustrating! I understand the need to encourage us to keep coming back to the app but I’ve reached a point now where each puzzle costs more than 10 tokens - the maximum the game replenishes. I always go for the question marked puzzle but now they are at least 14 tokens. How about you make the question marks cost less than 10 tokens? Or at least reduce them a little bit as a reward.
Also, with the streak, how about you reward those that come back more than 5 days by keep giving the rewards for the fifth day. I’ve been on the app for 20+ days in a row and it’s annoying that I have to go back to day one’s reward and cycle through again. I don’t feel rewarded for the loyalty of coming back when that happens.
Other than that, it is a good app. Excellent puzzles and easy to use interface.

Best game I’ve found

I love hanjie puzzles, and was completely addicted to this game, and was a great time waster and toilet break game. Some puzzles would be super quick and some would take a bit of time and thinking.
I had completed the worlds biggest puzzle and was in the process of completing the afterdark, summer and winter pack when I got a new phone. I redownloaded this game but my progress did not transfer to my new phone and I had to start again. Couldn’t be bothered and was feeling bitter so I uninstalled it.
A few months later and I’m over it and have forgotten the trauma of this so am redownloading it so that I can become addicted to it. Also very happy to see other new packs that are currently locked! Can’t wait to unlock them
It honestly is the best version of this game there is on the App Store, very easy controls and much more rewarding that any other game - being able to reveal the picture underneath
Little tip for the people complaining about not getting enough tokens: replay a game that you’ve already won and you’ll get tokens, just find one with a large reward that you don’t mind doing about 20 times in a row - I found one which was symmetrical of a lion or something and it was a big reward if I did it but it was super easy to complete over and over, and just save up your tokens

Interface isn’t great!

I think I may have reviewed this game before more favourably, but honestly my opinion has dropped because the interface is really clunky and off-putting. The game itself has plenty of puzzles, but having since played picross games on other apps I’ve realised how bad this interface is. It’s slow to respond and you have to tap a lot a lot of buttons, whereas with other apps you simply place your finger and drag, and the only tapping is switching between cross and colour. I also don’t like that you can’t change the colour, quite honestly I’m sick of looking at the brown!

I’ve found that over time (I’ve been playing since Aug/Sep 2018) I’ve gotten so annoyed with the lack of tokens that I’ve ended up simply logging in once a day to collect them, and then only played occasionally when I fancy a change or run out of tokens on my other puzzle app. I therefore currently have 800 tokens, none of which I’ve paid for, so when I do fancy playing this one I never run out. I do find that I quickly become bored of the interface though, the continuous tapping to select the appropriate function, then the slow response from the puzzle, a lack of response near the edges of the screen and the inability to simply drag and fill.

I’m not sure how much longer I’ll continue to play this one tbh, it’s not engaging me enough and I’m spending less and less time on it. But if they improved the interface and modernised the app a bit I’d definitely reconsider.
