Loyalty and perserverance

Original lifetime mccpilot enterprise user here. Remember back in 2012 was experiencing teething problems in setting up and then getting used to, and using the software. Help desk were fantastic. Always resolved my problems, issues. Excellent support.

Updates over the years obviously improved the product and then mainly updates it felt were to keep upto date with airline software technology.

Horrified when new crewlounge pilotlog product came out. Resisted paying to transfer my lifetime licence. Spent a long time reviewing the competition which led me to decide to pay to grandfather my lifetime licence. Glad to say very happy with new product. Took a while to set up as to how I want it to work for me. I like the way the ipad with mobile app is used to interface with aims. Help desk were ace in helping me transfer and incorporate data across. Keep up the good work and thanks for a nice electronic logbook 👍. Would recommend.

It Finally Works!

I confess I slated this piece of software when forced to switch from mccpilotlog. It failed dismally to do any of the functions that I required and would not sync on any of my devices.

I am delighted to now report that it finally works and the team appear to have corrected many of the bugs that you will have read about in the reviews. The syncing is now easy and straight forward and the software works seamlessly across my iPad, iPhone and iMac.

There are still items that I would like to see improved but these are not game changing and are personal preferences.

This app now does what I wanted when I switched from LogTenPro a number of years ago. For a reasonable price it delivers a true electronic logbook.

Still a world of hurt

Some improvements have been made with version 5.2 of the Mac app (it doesn’t crash on launch at least now) and this version of the iOS app. I refer to them together as they are part of the crewlounge ecosystem that they work together.

The mac app will no longer download my historical roster from my airlines AIMS system so I need to do this on the iOS app. The iOS app now at least does sync with crewlounge servers. However for the airline download, the process completes, claims it has parsed flights, these flights do not turn up in the logbook however. I’m a regional pilot and complete several sectors a day, airline syncing is critical for me just due to the number of flights. Still 90 euros invested with these guys and some of the most important features are broken.

Looking at competitors and I suggest you do too.
