Description
Pirates Outlaws is an indie roguelike card game in which you navigate dangerous seas and challenge their masters. Your expedition will be full of ambushes and will not be easy.
16 heroes available with unique abilities and pre-made decks. More than 700 cards and 200 relics to collect. Play your cards and manage your Ammo for the best combo. Defeat 150+ outlaws and 60＋ unique bosses in a turn-based combat system.
3 game modes can be enjoyed.
[NAVIGATE]
In Navigate mode you manage your expedition on varied horizons to discover and battle pirates and outlaws that stand on your path. You can unlock up to 7 maps and chapters with their own difficulty and secret.
Once repute reaches 9999, Hard Mode auto-unlock. Harsher environments and stronger enemies. Each chapter also has its unique challenge in Hard Mode.
[ARENA]
In the dust of the arena, you will face every 10 battles a powerful Champion. To reach the top, you must choose among the cards and relics from all 7 chapters. A place for all pirates in need of challenge.
[TAVERN BRAWL]
Test your strength and knowledge over a drink at the tavern. Choose pre-made packages before each battle and defeat the wave of pirates. After the 2 battles, defeat the imposing Tavern Keeper.

Great game with great support!
So the game art style is fun, is the studio’s first game and they really put thought into it. The (big) updates are always fun and interesting. The gameplay is fun, not all the characters and boss are equal but that makes different paths and styles you play more interesting to try. Can be w bit grindy, but easy enough after a few go to get the hang of it!
Needs more work
For a game that clearly ‘leans heavily’ on slay the spire, there are more tweaks needed to match that game’s balance and replayability. For starters, it’s way too slow to progress. I suspect that’s to entice people towards micro transactions, yay mobile games. Secondly, there are too many moments where you can lose without a chance - the random nature of some of the cards just frustrates.
They may as well go all in and stop the forced card collecting. It’s another annoyance that makes this game too random for me to really get into.
Enjoyable
Actually a really fun game; a good update would be to be able to swap your card deck with ones you have earned, so you can try new combinations and benefit from upgrading the cards - if this is a function already, there’s no instruction of how to change deck! Great game all the same.
