Life changing app!

I’ve been using this for the last 3 months and have found it life-changing. I have found the main benefits of using this app are 1) it makes an itemised shopping list automatically from what you’ve planned so you save money on not buying food you don’t need/wasting unused food; 2) It saves time and effort (I plan a week ahead over the weekend) so you don’t have to worry during the week what your next meal is going to be; and 3) it has helped me maintain a healthy, balanced diet (coincidentally I’ve also lost weight and feel better in general), so there have been many positive benefits, making the annual subscription price seem very reasonable!

If you tend to use recipes you’ve found online (or don’t mind entering recipes you have already), it is well worth spending time curating your own personal library of “go-to” recipes and then adding things as and when you want to try something different. The shopping list feature in particular is amazing and it more than halves the time it has taken me to get everything together (plan for the week AND the shopping list in one go), so it takes perhaps 10-15 minutes in total (this can be done more quickly but I double check what things I have in the fridge/leftovers I want to use up before I start planning).

Thank you so much for this app, and please continue to keep the helpful updates coming!

Plan, shop, cook all in one!

‘What’s for dinner?’ The continually cry from the family! Mix that with shift work and our busy lives it’s tough to always have quick meals ready to cook without resorting to take away or an expensive one off trip to pick up ingredients. I have used the app for 5 years and I love it. Add your favorite recipes to get started and then add new ones manually or straight from the internet. Use them to plan for a few days, a week or a month. Copy meal plans from one week to another, who remembers what you ate 3 weeks ago! Create your shopping list - check your cupboards and tick off what you’ve got and you’re ready to do the weekly food shop. My teens & husband all use the app for the recipes to cook dinner and answer the ‘what’s for dinner’ question themselves. Thanks for the continued updates, it’s always moving the app forward.

Essential App

Seriously, I don’t know what I’d do without Plan To Eat. I didn’t know how much I needed it until I got it. I’ve been using the service for about four years now and there’s no turning back. The cost of the app is easily made back and then it saves me a fortune after that, by simply helping my partner and me to plan our weeks meals and buy exactly what we need in one big shop. There’s much less food waste and our lives are simplified as a result of the easy planning. It’s also a really neat way to store all our favourite recipes found online but also to input our own recipes. Makes cooking easy. Whoever comes home from work first, checks what meal is in the planner and then sets about cooking it, safe in the knowledge that all the ingredients are already in the fridge, from the weekly shop. The automatic shopping list, made from your recipe plan is such a huge time saver. We can even go shopping together and split up, each using our phones to tick off the shopping as we go and not double up, so we can the shopping time in half.

The only thing extra I’d like is for there to be a clever way to link it to the supermarket online shopping, so that we could keep track of how much the shop is costing and maybe even get the food order delivered.

Great app. Keep up the good work.
