AI Plant Identifier App - PLNT 4+

I opted for the 3 day trial and once logged in found the basic interface for identifying plants and adding them to be pretty good.
I got about a 60% correct return when checking my house plants.
Unfortunately the login and help features just direct you to an email address so it was a bit worrying when I wanted to cancel the subscription.
I did this directly through the AppStore so in the end all was ok.
For me the cost is too much - I am interested in plants but not at £60 a year in one lump sum and the shorter timeframes we’re definitely cost prohibitive.
I reckon they’d get a lot more takers if they lowered their price point.

You can take a maximum of 2 photos before you are prompted to pay for ‘premium’ in order to access the results of the health check and even of the basic identification. If it’s not usable as a free app you should just make people purchase it up front instead of pretending it’s usable as a free app. No option to watch ads for the basic content and nothing to do without paying means it’s not free to use. It’s free to download and that’s about it.

This is basically a paid app because you only get a 7-day free trial and then it’s subscription based after that. I don’t have a problem with a subscription model but the developer is not upfront about it before you download. This is a pain because you end up downloading and handing over personal information just to find out that you’re gonna pay more than £60 a year for something you’ll probably use a handful of times.
