Well thought out game
I have been playing a couple of years, so thought it time to review. The game deserves to do well; there has been effort in the detail, such as being able look around the base and the decent graphics for a game of this type. The additional touches like the guild events and maps are a nice touch that add to the game too. Like all games of this type, being in a guild (clan) is more fun than flying solo, and maybe more so as it helps with stuff like pirate catcher and training ground that boost your pirates or defences. This is something other games could follow.
One negative is the high cost of some "offers". I can't help feeling they would make more money by charging less. It puts me off spending anyway. I might be interested in a special offer of £2 or £3 on occasion but not £20 or more.
Overall, I like it, and other very well known games should pay attention to the way pirates can be upgraded.
Fun game that you don't need to pay to win
Played this for a couple of years now. It's good fun and you can progress without having to invest real money, though naturally paying for gems makes everything happen quicker (you can still get a good number of gems for free though).
Gameplay offers a variety of PvE options, and PvP by attacking other players' islands. Good learning curve and variety of units and special units (Legendary Pirates) available. Still some enhancements needed (e.g. recruitment interface needs more options, Legendary Pirates are not balanced well enough) but nothing game breaking. Give it a go!
Nearly perfect
Been playing for a couple of years & firmly 1 of my favourite games but there is room for improvement. The graphics are great, hardly any bugs & very slick gameplay & very very fun & totally addictive. However, they need to introduce new content faster, new troop types, new legendary characters as well as a market facility so you can trade materials that you don’t need to ones you do. A Black Market would fit perfectly. They need to introduce new types of event as currently only exploring & attacking other islands. Guild events are by far more enjoyable but not frequent enough. Don’t get me wrong I totally love & recommend this game but please add new content quicker & you have the best game ever
