Keeping track of our aquariums can ultimately be one of the most important parts to the 'reef keeping' hobby. Maintaining husbandry tasks, testing, stability, water changes, inhabitant stats etc. are all vital to keeping successful aquariums.

Pocket Marine was designed to make inputting, storing and keeping all information with you at ease. Often, any issues that we have with our aquariums can be linked to actions that were performed a short time beforehand. For this reason, a log of changes made, actions performed or additions can be vital when trying to decipher a problem that may be in play. Pen and paper has always been a great way to keep this information at hand but, Pocket Marine offers a place to store this somewhere that, this day and age, is with us at all times.

Not just for tracking events. Pocket Marine is a great way to help you log your inhabitants into specific tanks, record your latest water change for your mixed reef tank or simply log your latest maintenance action performed on the fish only office tank. Recording your information couldnt be easier and keeping it on your mobile device saves on that frantic search incase of needing the information at a later date.

Help with that last second impulse buy at the store. With an in depth library of over 800 species of fish, invertebrates and coral and being added to daily, you will always have the information on hand that you need to make that informed decision on a purchase.

We hope you enjoy using the app and that we can help with your success in the hobby and welcome any feature requests you may have.

Cracking app

I genuinely love the app, recently started my first ever salt tank!!!! Well done to me, but a huge he well done to you this app has helped me loads with keeping track of my tests maintenance and the added feature about coral/inverts/fish needs is amazing!!!! I’m not sure if your open for suggestions but I do have once, maybe with the tests it could have something that shows what’s changed between your recent test and the last test you did, like a little bar underneath saying what changed as it’s a little confusing flicking back and forth, I maybe talking crap lol just thought it would help a tonne with quickly seeing what’s changed with the parameters without the need for flicking back and forth but other than that I love the app man it’s amazing!!!!!

Thank you for your review Smashlery,

A comparison view is something that in all honesty has not been thought about until now. Our latest update available from today has a quick fix that allows you to see the major test stats one test on top of another whilst we find a better way to accomplish this.
We wanted to resolve the issue you had with not being able to compare easily nice and quickly whilst we get a better plan in place....
We’re glad you like the app and welcome any thoughts you have on improving it

A huge thank you for a very positive review and happy reefing on your new adventure

Great for record keeping!

This app has been fantastic for keeping all of my test results! Great UI and simple to use. Two suggestions from me, currently you can edit an individual dates results to reorder them but I’d like to be able to make the re-order happen across all
of my results. Even using haptics to holds and drag to re-order would be better than individual scroll down menus. Secondly, the graphs for results have the latest results on the left running with the oldest to the right. Every graph and table we read runs left to right with the current result being on the right. Thanks and keep up the great work and updates!

Visually very good

Just downloaded this and it is a really nice app to use and navigate around, I might be making early stage misuse, but sometimes the list of fish in the encyclopaedia does not match say the available list in the nano list as could not see firefish in both when looking. Would be nice if once tank and stock etc loaded in one device (IPad) would load over to IPhone without having to type out again. Not got to loading test parameters yet, but guess these will not be shared via cloud or similar between devices. But overall nice👍

Developer Response ,

Hey give up finding name,

Appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review and thank you for the kind words.

Any species found within the quick categories (nano species, algae management etc) can all be found in the main encyclopaedia. The quick categories are ordered in a way that it just orders the relevant encyclopaedia species into the categories that they are most often kept for, but all species have come from the main encyclopaedia to begin with.

For instance, the firefish mentioned is found under its parent classification section of dartfish species being their parent classification.

Unfortunately we don’t currently have a way to sync data between different devices. We purposely built the app in a way that we did not want to bug users for private information such as email addresses and force any sign ups to be able to sync accounts. However we are working on a way to transfer data across devices without this need.

Once again, thank you for your time and kind words.

Happy reefing!
