------A WORD FROM THE DEVELOPER

I've always loved pool, and when I got my first iPhone years ago, the world of digital pool games opened up to me.

There are certainly a lot of options out there, but finding a simple and enjoyable single-player pool game was harder than I expected. I found one that I enjoyed, but after playing it extensively I found it too easy to beat the computer every time. Suddenly the problem with pool hit me — when you play against a computer in a physics simulation, you're literally playing against a god... By which I mean, either the computer is going easy on you (for a reason), or it's playing a perfect game and taking all your money.

It dawned on me that if I wanted a good single player pool game, I'd have to make a new kind of pool — a variant that doesn't need a computer opponent, that's built around the notion of scoring and improving, of taking risks, and of presenting unique and interesting challenges.

Pocket-Run Pool is the game I came up with, I hope you enjoy it!

Nice app needs extending

This is a really nicely designed app but it has limited game play currently once you have the top score. However I think the game could be updated with some simple changes like time based options or trick shot multipliers (albeit you would need to add spin). The cue could be a bit better as doesn’t line up with my finger well. Will watch this space for updates.

Great fun innovative and addictive

This is the most fun version of pool I’ve ever played. Hooked from the first game I played, I love the challenge of attempting to pot every ball in a 10x pocket ( ive not quite managed this yet ). It’s not a quick game, more relaxed and thoughtful but I love it. What a unique slant , and the various modes including online tournaments make this well worth the extra to unlock everything. The low review is by a penny pincher and doesn’t reflect the true merit of game design here. A well deserved game of the day ( though I downloaded it only half an hour after the initial release 🤓) well done Zach

A little bit boring, but ok

Basically you line up some things and slide some other things. After you’ve cleared the table you score some points.

It’s not the most exciting game, but good if you’re a bit bored and would like a quick fix game.

Not sure I’d want to pay for this game just to turn off the annoying ads. It’d be nice to have a better incentive to buy a game.
