PocketPipes can now play up to 4 voices at the same time. The need is to have one abc (or bww) file for each voice. All the files in the set must have exactly the same duration when playing. You just have to follow the naming rule hereafter: any_title.1st.abc (or .bww) any_title.2nd.abc (or bww) any-title.3rd.abc (or bww) any_title.4th.abc (or bww) Only when selecting the .1st, you are proposed to play 2,3 or 4 voices depending on the size of the set. PocketPipes checks the durations. You cannot play polyphony when a begin mark is set on the first voice. If you install the demo pack (when your data base is empty), you will find inside 5 polyphonic sets as examples. If you prefer to keep your current data base you can download the polyphonic musics from the support web site and add them. to your existing files.

Few changes on the music sheet screens (around control panel and time bar visibility, marks settings, and go back to the tunes list) It now possible to zoom and scroll multipage scores when the control panel or the time bar is visible. See the embedded help.

On the sheet music, the long press is now available when the control panel or the time bar is visible. This release also completes the evolutions on the abc parser (comments on staff, background color ...). Remember that K: must conform to bagpipe scale Hp or HP The in-app help gives links to sources of abc or bww files. The ABC tutorial is being updated on the support web site.

The ABC parser has been reworked and lot ABC files coming from different sources can be read. The ABC Tutorial on the web site will be updated. The strong requirement remains that the Key (K:) must be Hp or HP as usual. When no tempo is given (Q:) the beat is caught from the rhythm indication (R:) if any. The useful links in the in-app help shows indications to find abc or bww tunes on the web. When a file indicates a source (S: for ABC) or a footer (F for BWW) this information appears on the footer of the sheet music. The categories have been definitively removed from the preferences and fully handled inside the app.

- A category editor is now available through the C button on top of the music files list. In the previous releases categories were in the settings, they are caught at the first launching and are no more used in the settings. The categories will disappear from the settings in the next release. - When the files list is empty, the app proposes to install demo files. This is more simple to to get familiarised with the app, before installing your own files - The app icon has changed

Evolution of the user interface to simplify the implementation and elimination of functions of low interest. The number of tabs is reduced to 3: The tunes, the score and the built-in help, with the disappearance of the play controller and the keyboard. The old version play controller is replaced by two new controllers accessible directly from the sheet music screen: - A control panel for the playback options - A time bar From these 2 new interfaces you can start / stop / pause with simple buttons. On the control panel we find the usual buttons: Loop mode, metronome, starting sequence, practice choice, drones with level adjustment. Information on elapsed time, duration and beat settings appears on the time bar. The time cursor allows you to navigate on the sheet music when no playback is on. To be able to place marks on the sheet music, these controllers must not be active. The built-in help provides more details. Some colors have been redefined to better separate light mode from dark mode. The Back function of the pop-up controllers is represented everywhere by the same button for a better homogeneity of the interface.

- Share action on a tune: Sheet music and sound files are no longer sent to a Dropbox account, but to the user's iCloud Drive. The operation executes much faster than before. You can easily retrieve the files with the Files Application. For details, see the integrated help. - Added a force feedback when selecting an air with a long press (if available on your device)

Features: - Operations with iCloud allowing to save the data in the personal drive and thus to be able to align the data on your other Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac Book ...). These are backup / restore commands made only at the request of the user and not a systematic real-time synchronization. - It is now possible to directly install a zip of tunes files in one go, which avoids a tedious tune by tune installation. - By way of training the sound of a whistle in Bb has been added, as an alternative that of the bagpipe practice chanter sound. Selection available through application settings. User interface (IOS): - Once on the score screen, swiping your finger up returns to the tunes screen, while swiping down sends to playback settings These new features are included in the in-app help. A quick start is also added for IOS.

The App is now available for MacOS as universal purchase! Some text fields updated to reflect this. Same functionalities as previous version.

Two changes in relation with ABC files: - Fixing an issue when the lines end with a single \r character - The |1 and |2 repeats add a meter bar when they occur, that is the difference with [1 and [2

This is an important evolution of the user interface, while strictly maintaining the basic functions of the application: . Expansion of quick action menus for more efficient contextual navigation . Added file operations (edit, duplicate, rename, delete a tune) to replace the previous editing mode . Abandon of Force Touch while generalizing the use of the long press, to follow the trend . Trash icon, for massive deletions. The button must be validated using the PocketPipes settings Note that with the iOS / iPad OS Files application it is more and more easy to install the tunes in the application. The application website has been updated to show these possibilities.

- Uniformisation of some colors of the user interface - Ability to hide the embedded tunes (with a setting), so that you only see the personal tunes - Fixing a crash that appeared with IOS 13.1 or iPAD OS 13.1, and some minor bugs

- On iPad, capability to drag ans drop tunes in a split view from Files App for instance to Pocketpipes. Only abc or bww files can be dropped, one by one in the MyTunes tab. This requires IOS 11+. It is a way to install files from iCloud Drive location if you have abc/bww files on iCloud Drive. - Bug fix: in some cases the tunes list was not sorted - Bug fix: in some cases the import from email attachement failed

The user interface has been simplified and navigation greatly improved, with identical functionalities compared to the V7: - On the "My Tunes" tab you can directly filter by category with the C button, search by key words with the magnifying glass button. Direct access to playback statistics. The search and the statistics are crossed with the displayed category if there is one. Reminder: The categorization of the tunes allows to define your own collections. - For mobiles without Force Touch capability, like the iPads, a long press has been added on the "My tunes" tab which offers a choice of quick actions depending on the context (example: Play, Share, Categorize ...) . With the long press on the score tab you can now start or stop the playback. The navigation by tab is no longer the single principle. - For mobiles with Force Touch, the application already offered quick actions quite equivalent to the above functions. For the users who would prefer the long press, it is possible to invalidate the interaction by 3D Touch in the app, through PocketPipes settings - Minor fixes

- New bagpipe chanter sound with reverb effect, only available with IOS 10 or higher. You can turn on-off the effect in the general settings of PocketPipes. - With the "Share" menu, on My Tunes tab you can now export the soundtrack (.wav) or the partition (.pdf) of the tunes to a Dropbox account. The files are stored into two dedicated subfolders (_WAV_ and _PDF_) of your account application folder . The folders are created at the first order to upload. If you choose to export the bagpipe chanter sound, the reverb effect is applied or not, according to the setting. You will not see the content of _WAV_ or _PDF_ with PocketPipes in the importer because only abc or bww files are presented.

- Fixed: English translations were missing in the user interface (marks setting on the sheet music, and some others) - Fixed: The way to compute the date of playback in the statistics is slightly different, Today is really today and not less than 24 hours. - Added: Alert messages when a file is saved or saved-as in Edit mode

- New buttons to display the reverse chronology of the recent playings or the forgotten tunes. This will help you to drive your practice sessions on your personal tunes (go to filter screen). The period of observation for the recent playings is set in the general settings. Beyond this period, the tunes fall in forgotten tunes. These statistics are crossed with the categories. A tune is considered to be played 5s after the start time. Only personal files are in the scope of the statistics. - When defining a section for playing on the sheet music, the outside area is grayed. Reminder: long press or 3D touch depending of the mobile to set begin and end marks - On the importer screen, you can search for specific files after getting the file list in a folder (usefull for large collections) - In Edit mode you can now remove all the tunes that are not categorized (X button) and not only "All your tunes" - Few bug fixes
