Practice Portuguese was founded when Joel (from Canada) struggled to find non-Brazilian learning resources, so he teamed up with Rui (from Portugal) to solve this once and for all!

I had been using the beta version of this app for some time and I’m so happy to see it going live.
This app is an entire language learning centre in your hand. The Smart Review is incredible for making sure you get your practice time in, even on the go. The learning units act as on-demand teachers, thoroughly explaining any topic you might stumble upon while studying. The shorties and podcasts (categorised according to your level) make mastering comprehension easy and convenient, possible during your daily commute.
It is clear that the creators of this app have an incredible understanding of not only the language, but importantly the process of learning Portuguese. From the order of the learning units, to the simple explanations of complex grammar - I have found that everything has clearly been designed to simply “make sense”.
This app is a primary resource in my Portuguese learning kit and I have improved my Portuguese through using it. Thank you to the app creators for sharing our language with the world!
The best language app I've ever used
That's the best designed language app I've ever used. It was clear before downloading that I'll be learning European Portuguese (even tho it often explain the difference between ep and BP). You can do your lessons along with trying to practice your progress by listening to shorties, podcasts etc. You can see that the guys are really passionate about the language which make it more interesting to learn. I've been using it for few months now and it really boost my progress.
Amazing!
This app has everything covered! I particularly love the ‘listen and speak’ tool, which has massively helped with my confidence and speaking. Even just doing 20 minutes every day for a week gave me the boost I needed to feel comfortable chatting to people in Portuguese. The flash cards are a really great tool for remembering phrases and vocabulary and the units provide more structured learning/lessons. I’ve recommended Practice Portuguese to everyone I know who is trying to learn European Portuguese!
