Amazing app but...
This app is really good for making your family/friends get scared, angry and confused. It is really funny to hear the reactions and the calls are recorded so you can send them to the the person you pranked! There are two things that are annoying though. Everyday you only get one free call (unless you make an account and do activities to earn tokens) and if the call goes to voicemail then you've lost your call! Then you have to wait for 24 hours for another one! I also think that the voices could maybe sound a bit more realistic. All in all, Great App!!! :)
Doesn’t work
Saw a video online about doing this, so thought I’d give it a go. Downloaded the app, tried to sign up for full access where it prompts you to enter your number. Went to do that, switched to +44 as I’m UK based, and it then attempts to verify your number through call or text. Neither worked.
Skipped that part and it shows you have one redeemable token at the top of the app, so I thought I’d test it out and use one of my own numbers on the “you’re using my WiFi” prank. The dialling tone starts as if it’s actually going through on the app, but nothing came through on the other phone. Right ok I thought, then a “call failed appears” and “try again”, let’s give it another go. Except you can’t do that because your token has now been used. Lol.
A load of crap really. Quite disappointing, as it has potential, but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s probably a ploy to collect all your data and phone contacts to sell on.
Shameful!
So I initially used this app and the Scots Wi-Fi man ‘blasted’ my husband. Obv I knew it was a recording but hearing him getting wound up had me in stitches.
However I use apps/websites to reverse-lookup numbers who called me and whilst blocking a random telemarketer, I saw that someone was harassed by a ‘wi-fi man’ which was familiar to me. Over 22,000 have listed your recorded calls as ‘harassment’ and so my viewpoint has changed. Not everyone can handle being threatened with the police or someone’s boyfriend calling round to sort them out etc... Yes your calls are perfectly timed with the pauses giving the victim time to speak back BUT I don’t think anyone should feel worried in their own home. I hope you will look online at the people, some elderly and alone, single mums being upset too. It’s going too far. Please get a conscience and use your voice actors to do something positive and wholesome. I hope you will do.
