Absolute must for anybody with a speech problem.

I have recently been diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) which amongst other things affects my vocal chords. To put it simply I am unable to speak coherently & I found it frequently frustrating to make myself understood. Luckily my Voice therapist told me about this app (Predictable) she said if I contacted The Therapy Box they would most likely give me a free trial. Which I did & they very kindly gave me a 77 day trial through the Test Flight app. It didn’t take me long to realise that I didn’t need 77 days to find out that I neede Predictable in my life. It truly has been a godsend ,to say it has transformed my life now would be an understatement. I now don’t have to worry that I won’t be understood all I have to do now as soon as someone can’t make out a word I have said I just type it in the app & the app utters it aloud. That’s not all you can even choose the gender & even pick the accent of the voice you want to use. It’s an amazing app,I still haven’t scratched the surface with all the app îs capeable of yet. But for me the best part is that you save phrases that you use often in your favourites section so they can be accessed in a jiffy.Thank you The Therapy Box I doff my hat to you.

I have been using Predictable for well over a year now. I have bulbar palsay a form of motor neuron disease. As I have no voice now this app is a complete lifesaver. I take it everwhere I go and find it very easy to use. Everyone is in awe of how clever it is and how it speaks too. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has communication problems. Shopkeepers are very understanding and go out of their way to be extra helpful and friendly. All the family are able to listen to what is have to say and the grandchildren love to make stories up on it for me. Going out with friends too makes it easy for me to join in conversations. I would be completely lost without it. I am very grateful to the people who invented it, they deserve a medal.Thank you so muchVal Carter

Predictable I suffered a head injury 🤕 nearly 30 years ago & this has badly affected my speech. Fortunately Predictable was created shortly afterwards by Therapy Box & I have used it since this time. It is relatively easy to operate & if you get stuck then there is a Team who will always assist you if they can. With technology improving over the years & if you know you are going to lose your ability to speak well, you can now record your voice to use when you need it. But one of the pluses for me is that the voice I use is ‘Kate’ & she sounds English. You have the choice of voices, male & female & accents too from most countries & none of them sound like Stephen Hawking’s synthetic voice. So if you have a speech impairment now or in the future, don’t despair because you will still be able to communicate with people if you have Predictable.

The revised predictable is a very good tool for the speech impaired. Previous bugs have been fixed. The screen is now visually crisp and the space bar is more positive. There is a learning curve for the new user and it is probably better to attempt short sentences, at first.The hand written input is a bit fiddley and sometimes several attempts are required for the attempted word to be correctly interpreted. It is though a very useful addition to the features.Would like to have a key on the main keyboard for both full stop and comma. Before purchasing iPad and predictable we were offered another device at almost 7 times the price. Thank you iPad and Predictable.
