Quick Notes Catch a thought mid-shoot without stopping. Hold the notes button on the Live screen and talk, or type if you'd rather. Each voice note is transcribed on your phone and syncs with anyone else working the wedding. Record from your Apple Watch Raise your wrist and record a note, even when your phone is in a bag across the room. Notes wait on the watch and send themselves once your phone is back in range. You can also add a Record complication that goes straight into recording. Wedding Party See everyone you need to know by name on the day: the couple, best man and maid of honour, bridesmaids and ushers, and family, each marked by whose side they're on. Tap a name to call them. Keep private notes on anything sensitive, like divorced parents or a recent loss, so you can call groups with care. Import a questionnaire or schedule and Prelude brings the names, numbers and notes in for you. Emergency Contacts now live here too. Shot lists for videographers The shot list isn't just for photographers any more. Turn it on for every wedding in Settings, or for a single wedding in Edit Wedding. A new Live Activity control The bar at the bottom of the Live screen is now a small floating control that opens into a card when you need it. On iOS 26 it uses Liquid Glass. Better PDF imports Prelude now reads the answers typed into fillable PDF forms, so questionnaires and schedules sent as forms import properly instead of coming through blank. Apple Watch fixes Tapping the complication no longer opens a blank screen. The watch now follows your 12 or 24 hour setting, your role on each wedding, and your haptics preference, and shows the current event using the venue's local time.

A redesigned Golden Window screen, and schedule imports you can rely on. The Golden Window screen is now built around a solar dial drawn over your venue's satellite map, so you can see where the evening light will fall before you arrive. Point your phone and the map turns with you to find a clear sightline to the sun. Schedule import is faster and more dependable. The app now reads PDFs on your device, so long or detailed schedules come through in full. And when something can't be read, it tells you plainly instead of failing quietly.

Prelude now tells you when to leave. Set your start time and home location, and each wedding shows a live driving ETA with a leave-by time that reads current traffic. A reminder reaches you before you need to go, and opens straight to that wedding's timeline. Also in this release: Times, dates and Live Activities are now correct wherever the wedding is in the world. A redesigned Live view with a clearer Coming Up rail. A tidier Edit Wedding screen. What's new in Prelude 1.4 Share a wedding with your team. Wedding sharing has been rebuilt from the ground up. You can now invite a second shooter or collaborator to a wedding with a link or QR code. You'll both work from the same live wedding, with the timeline, group shots, locations and notes all staying in sync as the day unfolds. Shared weddings are clearly marked, and collaborators can leave whenever they like. Bug Fixes Fixed a critical issue where importing a wedding schedule would fail with a "Sorting Failed" error. This was caused by a third-party AI service update and affected all users trying to add or import a schedule.

Version 1.1 brings full international support and a brand new weather feature. Venue search now works worldwide, and all timeline times display correctly in the local timezone of your venue, wherever in the world you're shooting. The new weather forecast shows conditions throughout the day directly on your Wedding card, morning through golden hour to evening, so you can plan around the light at a glance. This update also fixes event ordering for Weddings that run past midnight, softens the airspace checker language to be advisory rather than definitive, and includes various refinements throughout.
