Description

Define and manage projects using an interactive and highly configurable Gantt chart-based tool, with auto-scheduling, critical task highlighting, and resource leveling support.

From draft estimations to creating detailed multi-milestone work breakdown structures, you can easily define tasks and resources, all types of dependencies between items (FS, SS, FF, and SF, with optional lead/lag values), and assign and schedule work at virtually any timeline granularity level, from minutes to years and anywhere between.

You can fully customize the headers of the diagram, set up specific calendars for individual items, tweak their appearance, check project level statistics and set visual baselines, identify resource allocation bottlenecks (Load chart view), print and export content as PDF, image, text, TSV, and CSV formatted files, and import and export Microsoft Project XML documents whenever needed, too.

The app works offline as well, and your privacy is highly protected as you are the one to decide when and where project data is going to be processed and stored.

Pay once, upgrade forever; free support provided directly by developers; ask us for new features, too!

What’s New

Version 2.4

We've listened to your feedback and we've added support to change the appearance of Projectis application to light or dark mode (from View/Appearance menu) independently from the system's settings, and we've reworked the way updating assignments changes tasks to better reflect the project manager's needs: when you add (or remove) resources to (or from) a task's assignments list, and as well when you change resource allocations there, the task's effort hours will now be preserved while its duration and finish values would be instead recalculated according to the changes you have made.

Doesn't work

This is incredibly poor and buggy.

It is impossible to set a task's begin date without it being wrecked by the auto scheduler. I don't understand developers who cannot understand the basics of project management, such as tasks having an "earliest start" date.

The bugginess of the app continues. Assign a resource with 50% availability to a task that takes 20 hours, and the scheduler thinks that it can be completed in 2.5 days (at 8 hours per day). No, it cannot. It takes 5 days.

This is a very poor attempt at producing a project planning tool. It doesn't get the basics right, it doesn't support its own features (e.g., manual scheduling), it can't correctly assign resources.

Do not waste your money on this very poor app.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for your very valuable feedback! We are sorry to hear that the app didn't work entirely as you have expected. However, we also feel there is some misunderstanding regarding the usage of some of the app's features: by design, the tasks will not be updated by auto-scheduling unless they depend on other tasks; leveling resources may move a task to start on the configurable project start ("leveling on" date) in case it doesn't have other dependencies; other than these, the date start of a task may also change to the next available working time if it was during a non-working period (such as during a weekend); when you assign resources, tasks are "duration-driven": if you assign, for example, a single resource with 50% allocation on a task, the effort will actually be updated to keep start and finish as initially established (assuming that the user has predefined the task dates, i.e. having fixed the project schedule, as it is often the case for "casual" projects); if this is not what you need, you can update effort value manually afterwards and the task's finish value will be modified automatically, according to the correct resource assignments.

thanks to Support Team

Support team is very fast to respond my issue and I solved how to use app, however it is not user friendly why I need to open a new file , rest of the market starts with a user friendly UI. Or you can just simply ask do you want to open existing or new template and they can save it later if you can do this I belive this product will have good place in the market thank you

Developer Response ,

Hello and thank you for the feedback! To get started with the app: in the “Finder” window that opens when you start Projectis – that dialog allows you to open an existing project file or create a new one – just go to a folder where you want to store your projects, e.g. Documents, and click New document button at the bottom. That’s all! (This is similar to the default behavior of Apple’s apps like Pages or Numbers.)
