Use it daily - nowhere near as good as before

The redesign of the app has made it much more difficult to use: -Manikin selection better. -Duration it takes to link annoying (especially if all 6) too slow ‘loading’ -Opens the screen of linked manikins not in the order I selected them -Can rearrange, but goes through the ‘loading’ screen again -Class can practice before the scored go, fine -defaults to 30:2 / 2min, can’t edit that as a default which is frustrating -Takes too long ‘loading’ after pressing start -use an HDMI link to a big to screen, if after the scored session is started I press restart the restart button appears on the TV screen so can’t access it, have to start the app from scratch -if I press stop the app does not stop, stops each manikin one by one taking over 20 seconds to do so, sometimes never stops -feedback screen can take ages to appear It’s a shame, was perfectly good, if you wanted to make a complex data feedback with cc fraction etc, why not make a second app, a BLS class are not interested, three core feedback points are all a BLS user needs rate depth recoil would have been fine. In summary, I think you’ve added too much to it, it is not really of use to most learners which has made it slow, bit buggy and less responsive. Adding a metronome would still be a great yet simple training aid.

Updated Answer : Hello and thank you for taking the time to give us some feedback on the app. We are currently working on improving the overall experience and parameters saving for your CPR Session (like for time and protocol). We are also looking in the issue of HDMI connection with a part of the UI not showing on the proper screen. Please note also that we have released a new version on 13th of June which should already improve the issues you have faced for the session stop. We are also continuously looking on improving the performances for manikin connection and the reducing the time to start the session.
Thanks for the metronome suggestion, we will add that to our improvements suggestion for the product. Please don't hesitate to contact the support through https://laerdal.com/support/customer-service/contact-us/ if you feel need additional support.

Please bring back the old app

I loved the previous version of this app and bought 3 x adult little Annie QCPR manikins, 2 x child QCPR, 2 x Baby QCPR manikins and a new IPad Pro. I was so proud of the feedback I received from my students and sang the praises of the system.
I have just returned from a 9 week holiday to find the app has updated without my knowledge and it’s now so unreliable that my students are looking at me with incredulous expressions when I have to explain that ‘it should give you feedback at this point, but it’s got a bug. I could see your CPR was very good though, so don’t worry, you’re competent’. The app fails to give feedback about 50% of the time and disconnects my manikins whilst my students are midway through the application of CPR. Please bring back the old app whilst you work to fix the new one. It just doesn’t work and I now half a few thousand pounds worth of kit that doesn’t work and I feel embarrassed using it.
My QCPR app version is 6.1.0 and my iPad IOS is version 16.5.1

Slow, clunky and unreliable

The older version was so much better! This version is slow to load, it’s clunky to use and often has silly bug’s causing issues.

Just today with 6 manikins connected it was picking up each compression as a ventilation instead! It takes a long time to give feedback. The CPR game doesn’t work as well as the cars frequently stop moving on all manikins.

So annoying as was a great training aid before. Now I hate using the app!

Hello and thank you for taking the time to give us some feedback on the app. We are currently working on the overall experience and also continuously looking on improving the performances for manikin connection and the reducing the time to start the session or the connection stability. Please don't hesitate to contact the support through https://laerdal.com/support/customer-service/contact-us/ with details about the manikins you are using (model, how many), your setup (protocols, guidelines). Thanks in advance.

Also note that a new release (6.1.1) has been made available on 18th July 2023 which should help with the stability during training and improve the result view. You won't have to wait for all manikins to be finished with the session to access the results.
