decent

i tried multiple angles and lighting, for best results i used natural light outside and also had to paint shading into my models to pick up small sculpted details, the editor could do with an update to sculpt in colour as the grey scale one isnt helpful, also can’t seem to get rid of the cone on top of my scans when using a small Mat.
can’t find a better App anywhere so this is good and decent enough for now.

Seems impressive but

Qlone is a very impressive piece of software, the use of a position grid is inspired and after a first scan I was very impressed and surprised at the speed and accuracy.
However I would like to see a one off payment version which allows to export STL files and email them , I don’t really want to make a payment every time I export a model. Even 99p as I can’t assess the quality of the mesh until it’s been paid for and in my experience it will take many attempt until I get what I want. So it puts me off using it.
thanks for the excellent work put in but please make a one off payment version for STL at least?

Thank you for the feedback and the kind words!

Please note that you can see the mesh and evaluate it in the Modifier screen by electing Sculpt or Clean.

You can scan as many objects as you like for free and only pay a small fee for those you want to export.

If you buy one of the packs (5 or 25) the cost even comes down to 40p.

And if you are using it extensively, you can purchase a Subscription with unlimited exports for 3 or 12 months.

Waste of time and paper!

I thought this would be a pretty cool thing to try, but once you go to the effort of printing out a piece of paper, and then sit and scan it for ages (don’t begrudge those steps they are needed) and then get the pretty awful model appear which is in need of serious fixing in a sculpting program before it could be used. Then you try to export this awful model and that is the point you discover that you have to pay for every export! You can export as a gif or other equally useless modes such as a photo - if I wanted a photo of the model I’d just take a photo of it as it actually looks!
Not worth the cost of printing the map!
