Nurse Hazel ,

Hazel. Staff nurse.

Quick nurse is a great way to book shifts. It is updated regularly and is easy to use and quick to book. Can be used in your phone anywhere and often shows shifts with good bonus on them. Also detail about distance and time to get to work. Helps me to organise time to be there safely.

Thank you for your 5 star review. We are always working to make sure our staff are happy and find the app quick and simple to use.

Not as good as it was

It’s a shame that the negative bits of this app are starting to out weigh the positive. They’re also been mentioned in beta testing.
Really don’t need the emojis, If for no other reason they don’t seem professional. Also, I don’t need a satellite map view, as a colleague put it, I’m unlikely to arrive at work by parachute or helicopter.
Main issue is not being able to narrow down the selection of shifts as you are on the website. Ideally,I’d like to see just my specialty of A&E nursing, and I’m sure other Thornbury nurses only want to see community or HCA shifts. Currently we’re all wading through dozens of shifts were not interested in. At least we could expect our personal preferences to be first up after hero & bonus shifts, but even this isn’t happening.
Really hope it’s sorted on the next version as the app’s taking some steps backwards.

Thank you for your honest feedback. I can assure you that a filtering system (amongst other updates) is something that we are currently working on for a future update of the Quick Nurse app.

Not liking changes to quick nurse.

Yesterday I noticed that the layout of the app had changed. Instead of shifts being displayed under the titles today, tomorrow and later and being to able to click on the tabs to view quickly I now have to scroll through all the shifts to find shifts for the next day or later. I also have no idea how to refresh the page. As far as I’m aware I haven’t been informed that this change was happening. I feel that it’s less likely that I get a shift before someone else books it because of the time it takes to scroll through the list. I called the bookings line yesterday and they didn’t seem to know about any changes. They said the quick nurse team had finished work for the day.

Developer Response ,

Hi. Thank you for getting in touch. Like any other app, they are always updated for a number of reasons. This update was a change on the layout and adding a new feature. The find shift list is indeed now one list but this is the only difference as you would have needed to scroll through the shifts on the previous version but just on different tabs. To make life easier you will now see there is our new filter option on the Find shift page - this will allow you to filter to your Grade and specific day that you want to look in also. In regards to refreshing the shift page, that has not changed, you just need to pull down from the top when you are on the shift page. This version is new and we know some people may not like change and some will. We had always been asked about filter so we do listen to Feedback and they are now available. If you need anything else, please email quicknurse.help@tnsltd.com.
Thanks
