I love how this app makes it easy to understand and accessible for first time investors. I feel that it is quite successful as a first step into investing. However there are definitely some things that could be improved, for example round ups still do not work. The ability to have notifications when funds are added and having a widget would also definitely be useful. There is a limit to the amount of funds to choose from, although I understand that this makes it easier for beginners, I would also like to see this range broadened in the future. As beginners begin to become more familiar, I can see people wanting to try a wider range of funds. Occasional the app is a bit glitchy although I have seen improvements through updates. I guess I will see where the app takes me in a year or two. For the moment I am fairly comfortable with the app, however if fees increase then ultimately I don’t see the reason to stay.

Finding my feet

I’ve been investing with Wombat for a little under a year and it’s been fun finding my feet in the investing world. I’d previously never invested before, just putting what I could each month into a Natwest savings account. It wasn’t until I saw an ad and got the £20 gift from Wombat that I decided to give it a go with a little spare change. I now try to put about 20% of the money I would have put into monthly savings into my GIA account at the start of each month and use that to buy more shares. I would also recommend the Learning hub section if you want to find out a bit more as there is often some really useful tips in there which have gone a long way to building up my confidence!

Very easy to use for a first time trading it explains the fees but I must advise don’t sell in a weekend as I did I didn’t know the stock market closes so lost out on £5.00 but in another hand I look at it I didn’t lose a bigger amount my first learning curve they should have an opening hours time table on the app and a notification sent by email to you this would be very helpful but like I said it’s easy to follow for me as a beginner I also advise research to see if this is the app for you like I did and I think it is for me 100%

Been using this app for 1 month now. Great app ; makes it easy to invest in the stocks you want to. The concept of themes while simple is really useful to investors who are not hooked onto the markets every living minute. What really blew me was the quality of support. Each of my queries were answered individually, not the usual contact centre/ support standard tripe from some process manual. Great work there.You could possibly improve resilience...a few times, it said unable to reach your funds...if it had happened to me when it started, I might not have continued using the app.
