Seen a crocodile in Queensland? Report it on QWildlife!

-- What is QWildlife? --

QWildlife (Queensland Wildlife Interactions and Sighting Events) is the Queensland Government's official online crocodile reporting platform. It's a convenient way to let us know if you've seen a crocodile in the wild.

Remember that no waterway in northern Queensland can be considered crocodile-free, which is why you should always Be Crocwise in Croc Country.

-- Key Features --

- Report crocodile sightings to the Queensland Government
- Submit photographs of crocodiles, nests or tracks
- View recent crocodile sightings and current problem crocodiles
- Find out how you can reduce your risk of crocodile attack
- Sightings can be recorded even if you are offline – the app will automatically submit them next time it is launched with an internet connection

-- What happens when I make a sighting report? --

The department takes all reports seriously and investigates each report it receives. Any actions taken in response to a crocodile sighting are guided by the Queensland Crocodile Management Plan. If the crocodile poses a risk to people based on its size, location or behaviour, it may be targeted for removal.

The information received through the app is added to the existing CrocWatch database, which can be accessed on the department's website. Any personal information you provide will be stored in accordance with our privacy policy. See the Privacy page within the app for more details.
