Radarbot: Speed Camera Alerts 4+

I have used this occasionally for 6 months and I have found it accurate and useful. The app even identifies which direction the speed detection device is pointing. It is especially useful that the camera information is updated from free information provided by the users keeping the data up to date. Excellent use of public information made available back to the user freely.
Whilst I have not found any errors with position I can imagine that there may be some but they will eventually be corrected by subsequent users. That is natural.
I have not yet had any crashes or software locks so I am hoping that the software writers have undertaken proper software validation, if so good to them.
Overall this gets 5 stars because it has been reliable and provides free access freely provided information. Yes there is a paid for version which I may try later giving gps routing etc but I’ll wait a little longer before I try it.

Just found this App. After getting flashed in 20mph zone in London a few weeks ago (thankfully heard nothing) I decided to look for something to warn me of cameras. The tech advise getting started has been very good . Helpful and prompt. I did mistakenly leave the app on whilst showing a work mate it drains battery fast 🤭 Need to remember to terminate at end on journey. Picks up the cameras in my short drive around town . Think it will be useful on longer journeys into London and on motorways once this lockdown is over.🧐 Not yet discovered what benefits I would get for paying the fee apart from no adds. Hopefully I will find a list of benefits somewhere.

Cannot get hold of customer service at all having paid what I was told was a one off payment . Wish someone would reply

I have used the Radarbot Gold navigation and speed camera app and think the actual navigation is reliable although direction alerts at junctions are often given too late especially when driving at high speed. However, the speed camera part is no where near as good as the Cyclops app in that warnings (from Radarbot) are constantly given superfluously for cameras on the opposite side of the road (despite being advertised in the App Store as NOT doing this!). Furthermore, you can’t alter the scale / zoom of the map when connected to Apple CarPlay and the daytime screen could do with having more subdued colours as it is so white / bright (the nighttime colours are good though!). I therefore use Google maps in “satellite image” setting during the daytime driving and have Radarbot running in the background for the speed camera alerts (albeit too many as it warns for cameras on the opposite side of the road! 😀).

I received this response from a “no reply” Apple email address SOMI couldn’t respond suffice to say, Radarbot’s response to me is, as always, “Thank you, your comments will be forwarded…”

My main point is that the app is advertised as having relevant speed camera alerts (i.e. ONLY in the side of the road on which you are travelling) but this is NOT the case in reality!
