Raft® Survival - Ocean Nomad 9+

I used to play this game quite a bit. I then moved on to playing Minecraft and Animal Jam. I have just come back and am probably going to delete this game. Why you ask? Because I lost over 23 hours of game play (over quite a lot of days) and IT’S NOT MY FAULT. I was doing some work on my house, fixing some stuff an I fell of the raft. Then Bobby (I named the shark Bobby) started attacking me. I had either a heavy duty spear that could of killed that shark in under 5 hits but the game wouldn’t let me attack him. It wouldn’t let me leave build mode so I couldn’t attack. I also couldn’t break away the fence that stopped me from getting into my house. I died and realised I had no black bottles and had to pay at least 99p to get back that progress. I don’t think that’s fair. After I calmed down, and went back into the game, the black bottle screen was no longer there. I lost all that progress and was willing to pay but the screen was no longer there. Goodbye ocean nomad.

I’ve completed all the main quests, which are just building all the work stations. I finally got all the resources to unlock the plane then it said I needed to oil and coal to power it. There’s only 1 island you can get oil from so it took me a few days to get enough but I finally did and my only prize were some doubloons. Pretty anticlimactic. I thought a new story would open or something. Seemed a bit pointless. I’m not working on the lighthouse but I imagine it will be the same outcome.
The description of the game on the app page seems very much inflated to what you can actually do. The islands are small and boring. You cannot go underwater, as the description suggests. The shark attack is repetitive, annoying and really doesn’t add anything to the game. What am I supposed to do with all these shark heads? They don’t stack so I’ve just been deleting them. Attacking other rafts seems a bit pointless too. If you don’t bring the right tools then you need to close the app to get back to the map and return home to get them. One of the NPCs just jumped into the water and disappeared so that was the end of that. Some of the island descriptions say they have certain resources on them, so you visit but that resource isn’t there.
I’m mostly just disappointed at home anticlimactic the story was. Nothing happened!

Been playing this game a month or 2 now and was really enjoying it. There are a few bugs that are annoying like ads that crash the game and if you place a door it then jams stopping you from entering or exiting a room!. The main annoying bit is, you have to delete a section of a building in order to replace it with an upgraded version, ie if you want to change a straw wall for a wooden wall you need to delete the straw wall first then place a wooden one. And a lot of structures can’t be deleted unless you delete surrounding structures like ceilings or walls above it!! Most building games just let you swap out a wall, floor or ceiling for an upgrade without having to demolish then rebuild! Very annoying.
Story line is good but I got to a mission that requires an electronic board to activate a panel, I left the game while I sailed to the island to install the board but when I came back the board had vanished from my inventory!! Now I can’t progress any further with missions/storyline which is very annoying. I’ve emailed the developers but had no reply and their Facebook page suggests they are bad at responding to anyone so it seems they happy to take your money but very poor in responding to queries or suggestions to help improve the game. Shame!
