Railboard is powered by National Rail Enquiries, the official source of all UK rail information.
◆ Key Features ◆
• Live departure & arrival board information.
• Planner for multi-part journeys.
• Button to add Planner journeys to your calendar.
• Save your most important routes.
◆ Live trains ◆
The “Live trains” tab is great for up-to-date & full information about direct trains departing or arriving soon.
You can see the times for trains departing from or arriving at any National Rail station on the network. The information is clear and easy to read; it includes train times, platform numbers, disruption and delay notices, cancellations, and general travel notices.
All of this real-time rail information comes from the official National Rail data feeds. So you can be confident it is accurate and always up to date.
◆ Planner ◆
The “Planner” tab is useful for planning multi-part journeys up to 12 weeks into the future.
It uses a combination of scheduled timetable information and real-time updates from National Rail Enquiries, along with other sources, to provide you with the best routes for the time and date of your journey.
As well as trains from all UK train operating companies (including Southern, Thameslink, Virgin Trains, and TfL Rail), the journey planner also plans journeys containing buses, ferries, trams, city metro services, the London Underground, and many more modes of transport!
◆ Saved ◆
From the “Saved” tab you can open your recent routes with one tap and save the most important for quick access.
With Railboard it’s easy to select a National Rail station to use, but if you frequently travel along the same route - perhaps as part of a commute - it’s even easier to select that train times search again with just one tap!
You can save both recent live trains and journey planner routes.

In this update we fixed two bugs:
● There was a bug where only some of your saved and recent stations were showing in the Live trains tab, but they were all showing in the Planner tab. This is now fixed. Thank you to everyone who spotted this and reported it to us, you really helped us fix it quickly!
● There was bug that caused the loading animation to freeze if you changed tabs, even though the results were still loading in the background. This is now fixed.

Ratings and Reviews
Been looking for a good rail app for a long time . The official Rail Enquiries one is a mess and not been updated in forever , used Train times for a long time and the one by Agent which sadly stopped working. So hard to find a simple train time app for a busy commuter. Moovit is very comprehensive but too much detail and too complex to be using for daily commuting over several rail lines. I would pay for this can’t understand why it’s free and I can’t see any ads to pay to remove. Great work guys, keep it simple and quick to use for people on the go. Add an option in the settings to contribute somehow you deserve something for your work. ( unless I have missed it!?)

Thank for you trying out Railboard and for the great review! 🙌
The app is free because the long term plan is to sell train tickets, from which we'd be able to make money from commission.
But don't worry! A simple and easy user interface for commuters will always be our top priority 👍 Seeing ticket prices would be an optional feature only.
Really excellent app with loads of useful features
I downloaded Railboard after Train Times stopped working and it's a joy to use. It's very quick and the interface is well designed with useful visual prompts like colours to indicate if trains are on time.
Navigation is very easy and you can quickly choose live or planner views, along with an option to go straight into saved routes in planner or live views. Live view shows you the whole route and planner shows you the stops between your station and the destination.
It's also very easy to save stations, look at recent stations, stations nearby, or search. Great app, highly recommended!

Thank you for the thorough review and for switching to Railboard! We appreciate you putting in the time & effort to write a complete review to help convince potential new users to switch to Railboard too 😁
By far the best rail app
Absolutely the best rail app for my daily commute. Updates at exactly the same time - to the second - as the station display boards, but keeps everything simple and concise only showing the information you need. Also very easy to re-open a train that already left to see updates (I.e. The train you're sat on). Many apps only show current upcoming departures so then very hard to digitally track progress.
Also very responsive developer when I made a couple of suggestions around notifications so hopefully those are in the pipeline too. The only commuter app I need - 5 stars
