Description

In Railroad Ink Challenge, you have 7 rounds to make as many points as possible. Roll the dice and draw the routes to connect the exits around your board. Expand your network with railways, highways, and stations to collect points, but you will be penalized for any open connections, so plan carefully! Play solo to improve your best score, or challenge players from all over the world!

HOW TO PLAY

Each round you will have to roll the dice and use the available routes to build your transportation network and connect as many exits as possible. Expand your network to collect points. You’ll also score bonus points for your longest highway and railway, for building into the central spaces of your map, and for completing optional, time-dependent goals before they expire.
You can also connect special structures to your network to trigger their special effects, such as duplicating routes, unlocking powerful special routes, and more. But beware: Try to not leave any open connections, as each one will cost you points at the end of the game.

EXPANSIONS

Forest and Desert expansions add special dice and rules to create even more intricate landscapes for your highways and railways.

Really addictive implementation

Really polished app of a game I already loved. A few things keeping it from a 5 star game: it’d be great to be able to see your opponents board once you’d finished. You’d learn so much about the game this way and how to eek out those extra points, maybe even being able to see it round by round to see how and where you differed.

Second, may as well lean into it being an app and do something the roll and write can’t: shuffle the buildings. Maybe keep the spaces but randomise which ones are villages, factories or universities each game. As it stands, you do tend to get repetitive first rounds (ah, a T and then a dead end, I’ll stick the dead end on the village like I always do).

I love it especially now daily challenge is back but…

This game is fantastic and I love using this as practice (especially the daily challenges) to get better and have really competitive irl games with friends. I’m so glad daily challenge is back but, it’s taking ages to load and more often than not it times out or crashes. I’ve tried different wifis and using mobile signal and it’s the same no matter what.

Excellent Game with Annoying Server Dependency

I love the physical and digital games both, but there is an issue in the digital game where, if your network connection is interrupted at scoring, the game throws a server error and quits to the main menu. You don’t get to see your score animation or view your board. This is really frustrating when playing in public transport. Especially as I don’t care about logging scores to a server.
