Some regression in usability on iOS

Love raindrop for the most part but the recent updates to iOS make it quite annoying to use the safari extension. Previously when you added a category it would then only show you tags related to that category but now just shows you all of your tags regardless, if you have more than a handful it just takes extra time to add these now. The UI also takes up too much of the screen when you’re adding tags, when backing out of the main tags list the keyboard remains on screen despite there being no text field selected. The save button is also covered up by the keyboard and it’s all just a bit of a mess at the moment.

For these reasons I find myself using it less and less which is annoying. The previous way of doing things was also time consuming and required far too many clicks to get things done but the new updates have not streamlined this process in any way in my opinion and has become a nuisance to use. In the main app also thumbnails almost never load despite being present when saving a page using the extension. I hope these issues will be addressed soon because it’s a shame to see its progress go backwards like this.

Great but one issue

A lot of the time I find after adding a link or whatever to a collection, it loads for an unreasonable length of time. Please fix this 🙏

Way better than Pocket

I’ve used Pocket for years before moving to Diigo, which was good but outdated, and honestly this has been the absolutely best app for managing bookmarks and just anything you want to save to read later. The desktop app, mobile app, and Chrome extensions.. and the web app (!) are ALL amazing. I’m a software engineer and don’t like to use apps that aren’t open source, but this is a major exception for me. The developer is incredibly responsive and there is a wonderful community where you can vote for things you want to see in the app or report bug fixes, and it actually gets looked at. UI is nice but not overdone. I paid for an annual subscription to this app and never once have regretted it. Highly recommend, thanks for making this app.
