Reader by ElevenLabs 4+

I am an avid book reader, and my favourite thing to do is read myself to sleep. However I have moved recently into enjoying audiobooks more so these days, but don’t want to re-purchase the audiobook versions of all of the books I already have in my extensive library, and that’s when I stumbled onto ElevenReader through some raving reviews and suggestions on Reddit. I have used a bunch of different readers in the past but they all had their own issues, some were sorely overpriced, some had terrible selections of voices, and some had difficult to navigate interfaces which I didn’t always appreciate. And the main thing for me being absolutely none of them provided sleep timers which was an essential feature for me as like I mentioned, I love to fall asleep reading or listening to books but I don’t necessarily want it playing all night. This application absolutely ticks all my boxes. Not only does it have a sleep timer but it has an incredible range of voices which I cycle through depending on the books that I’m reading. An extremely intuitive and modern interface, and a wealth of great features. I can’t believe it took me so long to find this application, a big thank you to the developers and you certainly have a fan in me!

I’ve been a long-term, top 1% Pocket user and discovered their recent iOS version no longer provided their higher-quality “online” voice. I searched for better, free alternatives and stumbled onto ElevenReader. I am very impressed with the voice quality and selection.

Pocket is still the better app for save-for-later reading without voice (admittedly its core competency), but I plan to use ElevenReader for listening to articles and long reads going forward.

Hi, this app is amazing and I love it, thank you! One problem though. The app seemed to update recently, and the new version has some issues:
1. Much more likely to glitch and stop reading, giving an error “Error playing audio”. This happens every few minutes on average. It can sometimes be instantly corrected by clicking the “X” button but sometimes requires clicking it a lot or exiting the file or app.
2. When I click the “back 15 seconds” button from the home screen on iOS, it goes back to the start of the file instead of back 15 seconds.
3. When I click the “back 15 seconds” button within the app, it often jumps back much more than 15 seconds and sometimes even jumps forward (sometimes after a glitch that needs correcting as described in 1).
4. Now displays the full file time instead of the time of the amount that has been buffered ready to go. In itself this is probably a good change, but it means there’s no longer a way to see how much has buffered, which is often useful info to have.

It would be great if these issues can be addressed and maybe the update rolled back until they’re addressed. Many thanks for your great work!
