Love the idea - but

I loved the idea of a dating app with a difference and the sign up process is really aligned with how I would like to find a partner. However it asks to sign up with no opportunity of seeing how the actual matches will work and having read some of the feedback from developers there is only 1/4 men on the app. I don’t want to commit to sign up for months if there are not many male connections to be made.

Hey there, not sure where the 1/4 came from. Initially we did have a 70/30 split, but this is now a 65/45 split. Given other apps at 65% men (89% if you are Tinder) with most married.... I'm okay with out 45% absolutely single and emotionally available men. Our app works similar to other dating apps, however we match using compatible attachment styles. We will have many other features as we grow - but we aim to be not just a matching platform, but an educational and coaching one too.

The app for you if you’re fed up with the likes of bumble and hinge. I really like the fact you get a few profiles a day only - I’ve seen some folk complaining of this but if the profiles are real people, screened and then suggested by the creators why would you want to spend hours scrolling like you would on other apps to get no replies or BOT accounts? I’ve been on the app since quite early on and can see it’s made massive leaps, still single unfortunately but the folk I’ve matched and chatted with are different to any other app. Happy to wait for the right person and look forward to hearing more of the events that Reddi have been advertising!

Breath of fresh air to also have a guy put his cards on the table and ask if I’m wanting to build a relationship and consider kids in the future as it’s a dealbreaker for him! Looking forward to the app being fee paying too as I think this separates out those who are wanting to build a relationship from those who are uncertain about what they are looking for. Got big hopes for 2024, Reddi I’m sure will be the app that will get me there 💪✌️

2 stars for the intention

When I came across this app in an article, it sounded like a breath of fresh air. I was eager to join but was in an unexpected queue for a while, a waitlist. Finally gain access and I love how intentional people are, the idea behind the app is spot on.

However, it’s a major anti-climax. I understand the 5 profiles a day concept (although this wasn’t transparent before joining), but there is a serious lack of communication around what to expect. You ‘heart’ or ‘star’ someone to indicate you are interested, and then nothing.
No matches after a few weeks, but also no way to see if anyone has liked you already or any other options to move things along. It just feels like a waiting game with no end in sight. Would be useful to be able to see who I have liked already too, something more than what it is, which feels basic at the moment. Makes we question whether I’ve got the right app.
