Description

We’ve become so used to wasting time on our devices. Scrolling, flicking, swiping through news, social media, photos of your cat… What would it look like if we started 'wasting time' with God?

Redeeming Time is built to help us do just that- deliberately redeem that time that you would have spent swiping, by putting that time into reading the Bible.

Next time you have five minutes spare, instead of turning instinctively to social media, tell Redeeming Time how long you have and it will suggest which books of the Bible you are able to read within that time. It can even track your progress through the longer books.

So let's make the most of the next month: use it to cultivate an instinct of using those spare moments to invest in your relationship with God.

What’s New

* 3.0.1 fixes an issue on reading plans tab so that it scrolls to the new position of the book you were just reading

Brilliant!

I’ve only just started using this app but I’m already seeing the benefit! I love the concept, especially in a time where we waste so much on scrolling the internet. I love how intuitive the app is finding scriptures that I can read at a pace I can set. It can see it being really helpful for busy workers or commuters who want to find time to read the word and the questions at the end are great ‘hinges’ into prayer and contemplation on what you’ve read. I also love that it seems to track which books/letters you have been reading.

Really helpful to a reluctant bible reader

I love this app. You tell it how much time you have - even as little as 2 or 3 minutes- and it gives you a list of options of what you can read in that time. I then read it and it even asks a couple of questions after about how you could apply that book or passage to your life. It appears to track what I have read and not re offer it to me too. (Not sure about if that is correct) my only issue is not really the apps fault - if I read something I am not really understanding, as there is not explanation tailored to the passage at the end, I am left fairly baffled. However I believe this is giving me good habits to ‘abide in Jesus’ and I have finally found a way to actually regularly read the bible. I can also then research what the passage means on line or discuss with a friend so what’s not to like!?!

A Blessing. There is time to read the word

Redeeming Time is a great new app to assist one's daily Bible reading. It asks you how long you have today to read, and then provides you with readings that can be read within that time. It tracks what you have already read, and how far you have got in each book, so you start where you left off. A good concept well implemented and deserves to be a blessing for many.
