A news reader for the Mac with support for various sync services.
Reeder 4 adds new features like…
- The new Bionic Reading mode
- An in-app Read Later service which syncs with iCloud
- Image previews in the articles list (finally)
- An image viewer
- Much improved article viewer
- More layout options, including automatic layout depending on window size
- Automatic reader view
Navigate the app using gestures for a great reading experience. Customize shortcuts and gestures to fine-tune the app to your needs.
Supported sync services:
- Feed Wrangler
- The Old Reader
- BazQux Reader
If you want to use a self-hosted service, Reeder should work with services which use the Fever or the Google Reader API. Or just standalone RSS (without syncing) if you don't want to use any service.
Reeder 4 is also available for iOS.
This update addresses a potential issue when importing local RSS accounts from Reeder 3.

Couldn't live without it
I'm happy with Reeder 3, and all previous versions (for mac and iOS). I use it multiple times a day, every day.
Reeder 4 is an instant purchase for me as I have confidence that there are enough new features to warrant paying again for the application. It's also an instant purchase for the reason that great software like this needs to be supported. I appreciate the effort that Rizzi has gone through in maintaining Reeder and I look forward to any and all future updates.
Thanks Silvio 👍🏾
Great update, but a few important bits missing!
Always loved this app and when I saw there was new version, I didn't think twice about purchasing. I am impressed with the look and feel of the new version, however, there are a couple of bizarre omissions from v3 which I hope Silvio will put back.
Namely, 1. the ability to 'group by feed' which, for me, was and is essential and 2. when you go to 'mark all as read' this has been moved to the top of the list rather than at the bottom of the list, which is a bit of a pain, but is workable.
Reeder is always an instant purchase for me, both on iOS and macOS. I've been using the beta for the Mac for a couple of weeks and it's even better than I had hoped for. RSS is still very useful for me and having a great reader is a no-brainer.
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
