What’s New

Version 4.2.1

Update 4.2.1 contains a bug fix thanks to Jussi on the Tesla forum thread for pointing out the differences between Rated/Typical range on non-U.S. vehicles. The first page on the Apple Watch now displays the Typical range if you choose the Energy or Typical Range display in your car. The complications also work correctly now for those using kilometers rather than miles. Version log 4.2.0: Watch Complications now displays your battery range and battery percentage left. Added the ability to change the amount of time to wait for your car to wake up before retrying the commands again if it failed. This adjusts the wait time for both the buttons in the app and the shortcuts. If you find that Siri fails too often due to the car still being asleep, extending the wait time by a few seconds could help. If you find that Siri takes too long to respond to your commands, then shortening the wait time by a few seconds could help. Keep in mind that if your car is not asleep, then usually the command would go right through without a need to wait. So don't adjust the wait time based on when the car is awake. Fixed an issue where if you never assigned a name for your Tesla, you couldn't see certain information such as charge time left or whether your car was asleep or not. Added a "Pwr" label next to the charging power display to describe what that number is.

Saved Tesla’s Bacon!

I was a very disgruntled “virtually a Tesla Owner” having downloaded The Tesla App just after I ordered a Tesla, their website told me to, saying I could access “Tutorials”

Signed into the app, “No product us associated with thus account”

Happily this app simply recognised I signed onto a valid account with no real car attached, and then allowed me to play with a pretend car!

Now that is a developer who thought about the ceremonies involved in car buying and car apps!

Additionally the iPad version is full screen, whereas the “official app” is only iPhone format.

Still trying to fathom how to set charging timers to limit charging to the cheap rate electricity between midnight and 6 pm.

Can’t yet fathom, might be because I don’t have a real car yet.

Worth the extra money to get more of the detail the proprietary app does not provide. The UI is complicated but it suits those wishing to access more in depth information. Room for improvement I would say with user interaction but still five star for technical ingenuity. Camping mode is probably limited by the TESLA API but worth improving if possible. Thank you.

Works a treat, love the extra detail that is available.

I've seen some negative views about the screen navigation. It's ok when you get use to it, it's just different to the official app. A bit more data available than the official app that I like.
