App needs to match quality of the site

Reverb as a concept is second to none for musicians. The fees are far cheaper than eBay and the buyers and sellers are generally a more informed crowd. Tech support is excellent and readily available. The only issue I have is that you should be able to program your search preferences in as its a real drag trying to find the country you want buy in. Still only a small pool of sellers also but will hopefully improve as the eBay crowd become more informed.

Great for musicians selling to musicians but room for improvements

Great app for buying not so great for selling.

The high selling fees has made it difficult to justify selling high value items. A synth I recently sold for £560 + postage had over £50 taken off. For this reason I’m no longer going to sell anything with a value over £50 on the site as it’s just too much. Charging the seller for fees on shipping costs as well is a bit ridiculous considering there’s no profit there at all. This is a shame as it has
plenty of great features from the price history of an item, feed thats customisable by price and condition. The news feature is cool as it shows interesting stuff about people who make music, the educational content released by reverb is also great. Super useful and ranges from learning how to record at a beginner level to more complex how-to’s.

There are a few issues with the app, they don’t make it not worth using but fixing them would improve the experience. •the search feature often misses things especially if there is a slight typo or incorrect punctuation. It also sometimes doesn’t show items that are listed. For example “Audiscape engineering Co.” doesn’t yield any results but “Audioscape bus comp” does. •web only features would be nice to have in the app •payments to sellers take around 4-7 days to come through which is a real pain. And yeah the selling fees are daylight robbery.

Starting to make bad design choices

I love this site and am very grateful for its liberating us musicians from eBay. Just to comment - as there is no feedback option on the app - that app changes are starting to be poor.

The new home pages are far less user friendly than the old one where you could easily switch between watch items, recently viewed etc. Much more fiddly now with the new homepage. Also, the new default setting of listing lots of categories and having to expand a very short list of my own recent searches is a real pain. Being able to see a full list of my recent searches was so much easier and useful.

So generally this is a great app but please consider reversing these changes and don’t go down the route of making changes for the sake of it, which usually means bad ones!
