RFM25 Football Manager 4+

UPDATE: added a star as two of the issues I mention are fixed.

The same again, with more seasons. Still the same simple and enjoyable gameplay. Perfect for a commute or office break.

Extrapolating modern day prices and using a lot of regens to fill in the blanks takes a bit of the fun out of bargain hunting, though I understand why it’s done. Three bugs to report though…

1. If you have more than one save there’s a weird bug where an injured player might be subbed for another random player who doesn’t appear in your squad list. I’ve only seen this where you have more than one save.

2. Some seasons hang on loading. I’ve had two so far, both on 24/25, which just sit on a “10/12” loading message. (FIXED)

3. Euro cup wins don’t seem to be awarded in the challenges screeen, so you can never get the points for completing a clean sweep challenge. (FIXED)

Would also love to see more filtering and player search options (e.g. filter and sort by range, wage, performance rating, influence, fitness, etc).

Good morning. Thank you very much for your feedback. Points 2 and 3 are fixing, if you update you will be able to play the 24/25 seasons. We have also (we think) fixed the Euro cup win bug. We have sent point 1 to the devs as that is a new ticket. We plan to release a a version of the game where the prices are correct for the time, there will be no adverts so you will need to pay a small amount for it. There was a few niggles as expected but updates have sorted them out. I have played all the top management games since the very first on my old 48k Spectrum. This RFM 25 absolutely slaughters every football management game before and current. The in-depth work that has gone into making this game is phenomenal. Even with all that data and everything else the developers have crammed in painstakingly, the game runs super fast, no boring tweaking in training and team tactics. Just pick your best team off fit players and play. Simple stats for when buying ANY player you can afford. RFM25 brings the pleasure back into a game that was at one time simple, fluid and so much fun to play. Kevin Toms would be proud, this is the a modern take on his baby and the first of the football management games. Totally enjoy playing this, the best football management game ever, for pure nostalgia and modern day fun this tops them all!

Just discovered this game and enjoying playing it. I love the simplicity of it going back to the old Champ Manager style where you just pick players and a formation and then let it do its thing. (I know formation isn’t a feature here but maybe in a later release?) If I had to give some feedback it would be to add formations, maybe a choice from a few preset ones (442, 352, etc) so you can put players in their usual positions. Also a way to search for players - I know players exist in my chosen season, I’ve played against them in European games, but I can’t find them in the transfer menu. 4/5 stars from me because of that. Great game though. Big thumbs up.

UPDATE since the recent app update just constantly bombarded with ads after each game instead of after a few games (obviously a ploy to buy the ad free version). One ad said 30s but it ended up being an ad inside an ad and then a persistent screen where X to close took ages to load so it was more like 2 mins. Really off putting. Hopefully this can be fixed and reverted. Dropping to 2 stars.

Thanks for the review and feedback. We apologise for the ads issues over the last few days, we are aware that we have had either too many or not enough ads. We had an issue with a provider and so have had to rush a solution. Will be working on everything you have suggested. Regards Coast Gaming
