An AI you can trust

I love the idea of this app! Finally I can get my news all in one place and from a range of trusted publications so I don’t get stuck in an echo chamber of one perspective.

Think it must still be early days as there has been the odd bug, but I’m very excited to see how it improves and everyday it is getting better!

Outside looking in review

I have tried to sign up to the beta but have yet to get invite. My review is purely from the outside looking in.

The user reviews look slightly suspicious due to being posted on the same day and the response and message feel slightly AI-ish.

The main app Curio is rarely getting new narrations and the original podcast haven’t been updated in years.

The Rio app feels like a cash grab because of the AI hype train to secure more funding. The key selling points for the article can be achieved by many free services such as OpenAI, Arc browser, Gemini, probably a few others.

The trusted source for the AI are all American/British sources which will can result in biased point of view and misreporting in certain regions due to lack of reporters in the regions.

An example of a story that could get misreported if shown is Takeshi Ebisawa story. Where he was claimed to be Yakuza purely due to vague lies he told people.

I would like to see how stories such as these would be get reporting from the AI.

Thoughtful AI co-pilot for news

Delighted to see such thoughtful AI products being built, at a time when one cannot trust what one reads, listens or watches. Can see it is early days but very well done!
