How It Works:
Ask your friend to name any card in the deck. It can be *any* card. Then bring out your iPhone or iPod Touch and let them open the Rising Card app. It displays a photo of a deck of cards. Ask them to think about their card, and then shake the device. As they shake, the card they were thinking about *visibly rises* out of the deck.

Really clever
Really easy to use, ingenious method
Superb update
This new version for iOS 4 is excellent and even better than the last version. I've been waiting for this update since iOS 4 was released and it was well worth the wait.
The Rising Card effect is a classic of magic and this great app will allow you to perform it on your iDevice. The effect is pretty spectacular and your spectators will be impressed. The method is very easy to learn and you'll be performing this within minutes, thanks to the excellent interactive tutorial. Like any magic effect, give this the practice it deserves and you'll have a cracker of a trick to show your audience.
It was pretty good before this update but now it's a must-have app if you like performing magic on your iDevice. This one is up there with iForce, Pyro and Magic Shuffle as one of the best magic apps available for the platform.

First off, this in my eyes is a great app. The way it works is smooth, easy and will catch out your friends and spectators. The actual graphics of the app are stunning, the clarity and simplicity of the "method" is excellent. When you buy this, you will see what I am talking about. You can even hand over the iphone to your watcher and they can shake it to reveal their selection. On that note, this app is made specifically for the iPhone for reasons concerning how this app works. I personally think if you use an ipod touch you will be fine using it, just dont draw attention to the fact that it isn't an iPhone, once again you will understand when you buy this. THATS RIGHT, WHEN YOU BUY THIS, BECAUSE IT'S WORTH THE MONEY! It's good if not great in every aspect, great for a little party peice! Thanks to Chris Kenner, Theory11 and Richard Zadorozny. 5/5
