Description

Road to Legend is a companion app for the Descent: Journeys in the Dark 2nd edition board game. When you play with Road to Legend, the app assumes the role of the overlord player, controlling monsters and inviting you to explore the dungeon in entirely new and unexpected ways.

At its heart, Road to Legend introduces a fully-formed, cooperative way to play Descent, freeing you and your friends to all play as heroes and defeat the darkness in Terrinoth. With a series of fully-formed quests and the ability to incorporate your entire collection of physical Descent expansions, Road to Legend provides a thrilling new variant on the classic Descent experience!

New Update - Bug with Saved Games

Encountered a bug with the latest update, when attempting to load a saved game the game exits straight to the IOS homepage.

Initially annoyed but discovered a fix. Start a new game play it a little - you don't have to really play it just mark some end of turns or defeat some group or do a search - just something to create a new save. Quit the campaign. You can now load your old saves without them crashing the game.

Game changer... literally!

Initially this app removed the need for an overlord which was great but otherwise the game was still a commitment to a long campaign, great for regular play. But with the release of the paid for one off play modes this now takes Descent to a new level! You can get the best of both worlds with a few hours of play whilst using the experience system to feel like your characters develop! An absolutely essential addition to the game.

Crucial for solo players

I just got descent 2ed and had no one to play with. This app sorted it right out. First trial game I made some tactical mistakes but game let me off ”this time”. Cool, got to the city geared up levelled up read up ALL the rules and got cocky went for side quest and got absolutely battered. Now I’m in the city pounding on that irresistible defeat and fearing next one. Would do it again :D
