Rocketbook App 4+

I love my rocketbook. It's such a nifty idea to have a wipe clean notebook from which you can easily save and import images. I've shown it to lots of friends who have gone on to buy their own. Sure, for optimal functioning the app needs to continue to improve its ability to convert handwriting to text, and remove the dots from the background, but frankly even as it is, it serves a really handy purpose for me.

It means I always have a place the kids can draw, and because they can email the image to themselves, I can wipe the page clean again to use it for work without upset. Likewise I can keep notes or doodles or ideas I'm working on, and transfer them to my in rough or I can import them to editing software and tidy them up or add to them later on.

Overall pretty good app. Ui interface is very clean and easy to navigate. Basic features like scanning, scan history, and a destination tab where you store various information like your email address and where you want your scanned documents to go. This leaves you confident on how to navigate as the app has many options but you don’t feel dazed by the different tabs. One con of the app is that the scans sometimes don’t come out as clear as you want or there’s different colours like someone dropped a highlighter on it. This makes it a bit more of a hassle having to move your Rocketbook to a clear white table to get a clear scan. I also experienced multiple crashes upon opening the app on iPhone although this might have been fixed.

This is very useful - I’ve spent so much time writing notes in meeting to them accumulate notebooks that I rarely refer to - especially in the long term as finding what notes relate to which project takes time. That maybe down to me not organising them well enough. This system assists with that - I can now send my scribbles direct to the relevant project section in M$ Notes, so I know where to look if needs be.
My writing is terrible so the OCR has no chance of making sense of it, my fault - but if you write neatly I imagine that would be very helpful.
I find that soaking the book in a sink of soapy water and then wiping all the pages clean works best for me.
