Such a good app :)

I find I tend to struggle with my motivation quite frequently, I mentally give myself tasks to do like taking my dogs for a walk, organising my room, getting up early and doing something productive etc you get the idea, but I always find that my urge to not do it takes over and I end up doing nothing and “moping” all day making me feel down and upset that I couldn’t bring myself to do such simple tasks. I’ve tried so many apps for productivity and motivation and they tend to just not help at all, however my friend made me aware of this app and it has helped me so much especially during school times, it gives me the motivation to get things done and even if I just get a small few things done it makes me feel so much more accomplished. If anyone is considering downloading this app honestly do it! Even without paying for the subscription, there’s no adds or annoying subscription adverts it still works amazingly. I deleted the app as I stopped using it during my summer break but I begin sixth form very soon and I’m re downloading the app. Anyone considering it, do it, and if you can afford it maybe even pay for the subscription because even just the free version is amazing :))

issues

The overall app is quite useful. i have adhd and so struggle with time management and keeping routines, so this was very useful when i found it. HOWEVER, there have been some bugs/issues that have started happening the last few months/weeks.
Now it just loads and loads when i open it, and unless i open it via a notification on my phone it just doesn’t open. it’s extremely annoying. Sometimes the voice reminder will just give a random step instead of what’s next. For example, “shower will end automatically, get ready for shower “ like??? (wash bath is after shower). it’s most irritating when it says something random like this, but i actually need the next step, e.g. one of the steps is to take my meds - if it says “stretch will end automatically in 1min, move onto brush teeth” but then will use up the Meds time and so has completely defeated the purpose of the reminder. Also, When you stop the routine and get beck to it later (let’s say a few hours) it says “sorry we’re having problems, the tech team are sorting it”,, but if i am to simply swipe skip on all the remaining steps and restart the routine it works?? took a while to get to this loophole. a little disappointing you have to pay for more than 2 routines (and i did consider, but then all these bugs started and i don’t want to pay for something that’s proving to be quite useless). It’s a shame, this didn’t really happen when i first got the app and would be such a massive help if it didn’t have these bugs.

Hello, Siymone.

Thank you for your kind feedback.

We've opened an inquiry with iOS, and these issues are being caused by OS updates that limit background behavior on mobile.

Do you use the auto-skip feature? It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with the app not fetching the timer status as it should after a certain amount of time in the background. If you're using that feature, you should be able to work around it by always leaving the app in the background when using it. This is an OS issue and we'll try to get it fixed technically.

In the meantime, we'll keep you updated.
Please feel free to send us your feedback and suggestions.

We look forward to helping you create a healthy routine with Routinery.

Thank you 😍

A wonderful app!

I’ve been using Routinery for a few months now and it’s been very helpful

I have ADHD and I just forget to look after my bod. A lot of the time it’s just because I have a really bad concept of time and think I don’t have time to look after myself

Also my little dog has worked out that if she taps my phone screen with her nose she will make breakfast happen quicker 😂😂😂

But I’ve got my morning routine down now to work on my bedtime one ha

I do have some possibly improvements

- let me change the colour of the clock face timer. Instead of dark grey on white as if my phone is across the room on charge it’s hard to see how much time I have without breaking focus

- quick add tasks . Sometimes I might realise while I’m walking my dog that I have extra time before I need to leave for work to do laundry to do or washing up. It would be nice to have a list of maybe 10-15 for quick add tasks . Because when I have to exit and the write the task I get distracted

-some of the wording I find a little confusing.

You currently have buttons that say this:
“Redo after rest” and “redo from the time ended”

But I think this phrasing is less confusing :
“Restart last task” and “Continue with last task”
