Routinist helps you achieve goals and build habits by scheduling time for them as part of your everyday routines.

***WHY***

I built Routinist because I got tired of having excuses for why I wasn’t taking action on my goals: I don’t have time... I’m too tired… I forgot… etc. Routinist eliminates these excuses for me.

Becoming a better you is hard. It requires motivation, planning, commitment and execution. Only you can keep yourself motivated and committed over the long term. The purpose of Routinist is to help with the planning and execution parts, so you can improve your health, achieve your goals, and continue becoming a better you.

***HOW***

Step 1: List your typical morning routine actions and estimate time for each action. This can be super simple (get ready for day for 45 mins), or as detailed as you like (floss 1m, brush 3m , shower 10m, shave 5m, etc.).

Step 2: Enter your desired sleep and Go Time (the time you need to leave for work).

Step 3: Add new actions (those small steps towards your goals like flossing or exercising) and their estimated time, and insert them into your routine.

Routinist uses this info to remind you when to wake up and go to bed so you have time for your routines and get the sleep you need. Take action during the time you most control: your mornings and evenings. Routinist removes the ‘when’ so you can focus on the ‘what’.

• Stats & History - the morning/evening button is now displaying correctly in Dark Mode.
• Evening Reminders - these reminder settings will no longer reset to default as they did in some instances.

Brilliant. The most valuable app on my phone

Absolutely love this app now that I’ve given it an investment to set it up.

Each morning and evening I have around 1hr45-2hrs budgeted to do all the activities I need to maintain a good routine, and therefore good mental health.

As somebody with executive dysfunction, this app has allowed me to outsource an immense amount of decision making (what order should I do my tasks, when should I start? Oh god, so many decisions!).

Now I pop open the app, put on my headphones and in a zombie-like state I complete my routine. Giving my brain some much enjoyed rest!

I love the interface too. It’s minimalist. Other productivity apps have bells and whistles that may look pretty, but don’t really add any value.

Having the option to schedule stuff every x weeks/months means I’ll never forget to change my toothbrush, flip my mattress, or order replacement contact lenses again!

It would be nice if there was a way to add a sort of ‘supplementary routine’ that sits outside of the sleep/wake up time calculations. As an example, a list of activities one would complete as soon as they arrive home from work.

Overall, very happy. This app will change your life if you invest the time and can maintain the discipline (wish there was an app for that!)

Game changer

I’ve had good morning habits for a couple years now but with an unpredictable schedule due to my job it’s often a stressful time juggling exercise in the morning as some habits have to be skipped or compromised. This app is amazing for removing that mental clutter as you try to fit everything in first thing while still sleepy. It lets you relax and trust that you’ll be ready to leave in plenty of time as you complete each task and your completion time updates live. It also stops ones tendency to underestimate what time to go to bed for enough quality sleep. I’m so grateful for this app and have subscribed after 6weeks if consistent, productive and stress free mornings. The interface is a little confusing at first but the developer has a great tutorial. Stick with it and be rewarded.

Great App!

The layout is just so simple and straightforward once you get the concept. And the concept of a Routine Cycle is a whole different approach and it works! I wish I had this app before, would have more productive.

One aspect I would request the developer to include is that there should be a short routine during the day. At present there is only routine from the evening to the morning. However, I realised I have a few routines of around 20 - 30mins happening 2 to 3 times a day during work and after. I would be very happy to see this feature added to the app. Thanks
