To be honest, I was a bit dubious about having our medications arrive via Royal Mail, but living in these challenging times with COVID, my mum suggested I make changes so I don’t have to expose myself to the outside world too much. We signed up about 1 month ago, and I can honestly say I wish I done this ages ago. It is great not having to queue at my local pharmacy, and I love that it has access to Patient Access, which means that any changes that my GP make, it automatically updates on Co-op Health. Once you request your medication, Co-op Health will alert you and let you know when it is with Royal Mail, who will let you know when it will be delivered. The only problems I encountered was trying to update my pharmacy to Co-op Health, in Patient Access, as it wasn’t on their database, so I called my GP who changed it for us. Also, it would be great if children, or adults that I care for could be linked into my account. Other than that, it is a great service and I would urge you to try it out!!
Great service.

I got tired of waiting for my prescriptions to be ready at the pharmacy, especially when they didn’t have certain medicines in stock for a few days.I received a message from Hey Pharmacist and decided to give them a go and I am delighted with the service they offer. I just had to sign up, choose which service I wanted, which was free delivery by Royal Mail and they contacted my gp surgery for a list of my medications and I was all set up to go.Hey Pharmacist now messages me when it’s time for ordering again, I go onto the site, tick the medications I need from the list of all my meds and Hey Pharmacist does the rest. Then within a week to 10 days they are delivered to my door by Royal Mail.No more waiting in a queue only to be told they are still waiting for something to come in.It really is simple and so far no problems at all.
Just brilliant, excellent customer service even in the midst of these tough times

I really rate this service and have had family and friends sign up to it but they excelled themselves today when I had almost run out of medication , had changed doctors and couldn’t get the NHS log in site to work . They came back through the Help Chat so quickly and efficiently and got everything back on track quickly even in the midst of all that is going on when they must be inundated . Special thanks go to Liam who was unwavering in his help and coped with me messaging several times with a variety of problems . Would love to see this service develop and would be so so helpful if young kids records could be accessed or linked through a parents account so could quickly sort kids medications too . Thanks again , couldn’t recommend highly enough . So, so easy .
Look’s promising

I started using the Echo app originally and that was great. When it became part of Lloyds Pharmacy it started to go downhill a little but was still okay. Then Pharmacy2U came along and the app got worse. Looking for alternatives I found Hey Pharmacist. Just put in my first repeat prescription request and it is much closer to the original and excellent Echo experience. No nag screens trying to flog me things I don’t want or need, just a clean process to put in a repeat prescription request and pay for it. Gives me the option to set a reminder if and when I want it rather than Pharmacy2U’s approach of setting a date behind the scenes and then reminding me when I’ve still got about a month’s supply to go. So glad to have a reliable and straightforward app back for managing meds.
