SailGP are bringing the F50s to life, with a 3D Augmented Reality Experience. Allowing fans to take a tour around your favourite teams F50 (yes from anywhere in the world), capture a selfie and post on social.
FOLLOW THE ELITE TEAMS
Ten teams battle it out; Australia, Canada, Emirates GBR, France, Germany, New Zealand, Rockwool Denmark, Spain, Switzerland and United States.
Switch teams mid-race, to compare how the other boats are getting on. You can also compare two teams together at the same time - monitoring the data, speed and performance of both boats, side by side, all on one screen.
PACKED WITH REAL TIME DATA
Each boat is fitted with 1,200 data points, tracking every second of the race and syncing with your SailGP app in real time. As the teams battle it out to reach the finish line first, you'll be able to customise the app, to view the data and stats that interest you the most. From Wind Speed and Velocity Made Good, to Time To Mark and Leg Number, just tap any stat in the app.
CHANGE VIEWS AND CAMERA ANGLES
Choose how you view the race by tailoring the stats that you see on your screen. Default mode includes a larger video with less stats or you can opt for Advanced mode which makes the video smaller and shows you lots more data.
NO SPOILER MODE
As SailGP operates across multiple time zones, you have the option to turn off spoilers and hide all results until you have watched the race.

I have recently been re watching the Sam Francisco Sail GP, and it is amazing to watch it like that. One problem I saw with it, there may be a way to change it but on default setting the video is very small in comparison to all the statistics. It is a very minor problem, but it would be good if you could watch it with very few statistics and more of the screen taking up the footage

I have enjoyed watching the event live from San Francisco, a pity about the whale. The coverage is absolutely fantastic and the different cameras make your flying across the water with them. Only one thing left to add, come on RITA 😜

Where do I start? Wickedly over complicated and kept asking me “did I want to buy tickets?” I’ve already got them. I wanted to see the course layout, even plonked in front of me it was unclear and they kept moving the marks. The app was useless for that. Then the “Augmented Reality” never worked, stalled told be the square root of nothing. I have more than enough wifi mobile data etc so it’s not my end failures.Lastly be aware that the event is a massive boom bang let’s make some noise annoying even compèred by the most annoying woman in the world. She must have come from childrens’ TV she has that “happiness at all costs attitude”.So yes the App was poor it is being unloaded as I speak. I’m unsubscribing from everything SailGP and blocking them left right and centre.Truly I can’t recommend it. To end on a positive note the Grandstand view was very good, the spectacle fine without all the “hoo-rah”.
