Great Christian dating app, love the interface and design. Like a lot of users I have my frustrations about the swipe limit as it seemed to take forever to find any matches. I’ve used other Christian dating sites and it never took that long to match with people. I understand their reason behind it and I although I like it, perhaps even an increase in the limit would help. The app is about connecting people but the small swipe limit, well, very much limits your ability to actually connect with anyone. However, the new feature that just dropped, now allows you to see who has liked you...if you refer a friend and they sign up...I did all that and unlocked the feature. Turns out I had a lot of people who had liked me and was able to quickly find some matches! Though yet to start any conversations with them. I think this is a great feature to have and helps connect you quicker with people you like. Negative point: there were some people who liked me that I had already previously clicked liked on. But yet we weren’t appearing as a match? But when I clicked into the profile to like it again it then matched us. So I’m not sure if there is a glitch there or if it’s a case of double profiles? Anyway great app, great job at listening to what your users want and making changes you feel are good but also don’t compromise what you believe in so fair play!

I joined SALT twice. Initially I felt that I had no real matches. There were tons of Christians but something important always felt like it didn’t quite match. So I came off and returned back after 2 months. The second time started more positively but again after a few conversations with others, things either fizzled out or one person stopped replying or I realised that we weren’t a match. BUT, by God’s beautiful design I did meet someone who matched perfectly (and was attractive-because that is important too) and was super intentional. So SALT really did begin the journey of a beautiful relationship and future marriage. My top tip is just to be patient and intentional. Know what you’re looking for, know where there’s wiggle room and where there isn’t. Also, use your profile to clearly communicate what you want. A clear profile with complete information really does help to vet someone before becoming emotionally involved. Thanks SALT 😉

I was Salt almost for 2 years and only been on 2 dates. I don’t know if it’s the features of the app or the men but I would like to make some suggestions: 1) Include better notifications i.e. have something similar to a messaging notification, the number of messages received. Someone like myself I don’t reply to messages straight away. 2) Remove dead profiles. I would get matches, however as a woman I do want the men to make the first move, and most can’t even do that. Some I have messaged and no response. Have a 3/6 months check in tool to check if people are actually active on the app. If there is no response, remove the profile. I taken a break from online dating apps, going through dating fatigue. Hopefully during the break I can find out more things about myself. Also with online dating I found that I would get a lot of matches, but majority of guys would not send the first message hence I believe that some of the profiles are not active. Again I don’t know if it’s the app is not showing people on their end the potential matches.

I heard about Salt from a friend of a friend back in 2017. She’d met a lovely man on there and were still dating. I checked it out back then but I wasn’t really taking online dating seriously, so it was short lived. It seemed like too much effort and there wasn’t enough choice or data on the profiles. Fast forward to 2023 and another friend brings up the app after I told her about my relationship woes and my breakup at 39. There were now 4 people I knew who met their spouses on Salt - all were married and one had a baby. I thought to myself, I like these odds and I don’t want anymore timer wasters, so I jumped back on the app late last year. I found they’d revamped the app and the updates must’ve made a difference because I found a really great guy on there after about 6 weeks. It’s only been a couple of months and I wanted to waited before posting a review to see if it would stick, but I’m really filled with faith in this one. Thanks Salt, you saved the day.
