Disappointed from a flagships premium tv

I’m very disappointed with this application! Since buying a premium tv specially this day and age you would think that Samsung would put some effort on to this application and keep making improvements for a better experience. sadly that’s not the case. The app keeps on crashing and unable to steam a video or picture without crashing. I have used the older tv with DLNA that actually works much better with this app but not in the 2018 Q7F model. For a flagship tv I expect a WIDI display or a built in mirror cast rather then using this via the app. I now used a Win10 pc and share the media like photo and videos with work perfectly.

Do you have anybody skilled working there?

Vaguely got it to work for a bit but always buffered. Have a fast 5g network and alm other steaming apps to TV are fine. Since latest update, can't even see my TV on the app. Same network and I can see my phone in source settings on the TV itself. Can play media that way but moment iPhone screen goes off, loses connection. Please invest some folk to address your poor app. We all spent a lot on your devices so please respect that rather than see it as an unimportant afterthought...

Update: I've tried so many times. I'm not stupid and am a network engineer by trade. This is simply shocking. It's like a fairground stall. You may get lucky but odds are against. Uninstalled, reinstalled, latest OS, latest app version, etc.

Are you really Samsung? If so, utter shame on you. Folks work out apps in their bedroom better than this. You fail with millions at your disposal. I've been a Samsung fan for sobs time but I move forward. If you can't sort out playing media fine from phone to tv, I'm gone to someone who can...

Works fine with Samsung Blu Ray

I have no problems with SmartView - download the app for iPhone or iPad and load the programme on your device. Access multi-media on the Blu Ray and select your device - as long as the Blu Ray and Apple device are on the same network; music, photos and videos stored on your device can be played via the Blu Ray player. I have a BD6500 - it also connects with your PC as well. It does not act as mirroring software and does not seem to play iTunes movies from your device but will play movies recorded in mp4 and mov format. My setup is an AV receiver, with BDP into a 1080p projector. Sound and video quality is good but adjustment of projector display was required to reduce contrast. There is also a bit of lag before videos start about 3 secs - but that does seem to be a common issue with streaming on BDPs.
