Update has caused problems

I am a teacher using this app to provide learning during the Covid lockdown. It is certainly a more basic platform than others, for example Teams, in its functionality but it did the job. Our pupils had never used Teams but knew what they were doing with this app, so we just stuck with SMHW/Teams for distance learning. The app updated last night and added a feature to attach a file in the comments. Since this update the app will not work properly. There is an error message when I try to see notifications, which means I cannot see when pupils have submitted work or are trying to ask questions. If a pupil submits a file I now cannot open it. I cannot see the new classes I have been assigned in the last week. It is now next to useless. Several of my colleagues and pupils have reported the same issues today. Please fix these issues ASAP as I am finding it very difficult to do my job now

Child’s review (who uses the app)

I think (personally) this is a really good app for kids who forget to do their homework because it shows the ones you have don’t and the ones you have not. There is a little box on the right hand side which you can tick off, red for classwork and green for homework. There is also a section we’re you can see all the completed tasks your child has done. This is really useful for paren tree as there is a parent version as well so they can see if they have a task to be done or finished all the upcoming tasks. If your child has a phone then they will get a notification saying which teacher has set the work and what the work is. The teacher can set work documents on there and PowerPoint documents on there. You can hand in your homework via sachet one (this is only if the teacher has instructed you to hand it in online). If your child is stuck you can also send the teacher a message about the task. This is a generally really helpful app. I recommend getting this.☺️

Hope this review was helpful

Show my homework

I think that this app makes it really easy to access the information given out by your teachers in order to be able to complete the relevant homework issued. Also, due to it being an app, accessible on a mobile phone, you can simply check your homework wherever you want as long as you have a network connection. It is really helpful for me, as i use my phone pretty often, so I can just stop doing whatever ever I am doing and switch over to the SMHW app and make sure I haven’t missed any of my homework’s out if a teacher has set either a surprising homework or a homework which was set later in the evening. Due to this it means that I am doing all my homework and not accidentally missing out a homework or completely forgetting about a homework which means that don’t get any sanctions at school. I really recommend this app as it makes both the teachers and students lives so much easier in terms of homework through your education.
