Useful tool for writers

I have been a user of the Scaler OSX version as a plug-in for Logic Pro X for more than a year now. I am pretty confident with my music theory but still find the plug-in useful and inspiring.
Now the iPad OS version is available and I am very impressed. An amazing amount of useful features included for free, and more available for modest fee. Only a couple of hours into testing but, so far, congrats to the developers 👍

Fun, vast, no power chords?

I’ve given it 4 stars because the very first thing I tried to do was detect a short and simple .wav of guitar audio, which I knew to be in E. Scaler said it was in C. The other issue that quite surprised me is that Scaler 2 is at heart a sophisticated and varied collection of midi clips and patterns which can be arranged and rearranged but not edited as such within the app. Lastly, the developers seem to prefer the ‘community forum’ approach to addressing customer questions. Such as, why can’t the app do over chords?

Your music assistant

It’s like having someone available that fully understands music theory and can help with chord progressions and playing them in different styles. It’s an amazing app, so much you can do with it. One of those essential apps that you never want to be without it.
