Love this game, however..
I’ve been play this game for a while, and early onto game play, I paid for the ad-free version (well worth it). I’ve had no issues, apart from further into the game, new areas have stopped being uncovered (cloud cover in each location) to reveal a bigger space, larger game play per location. I’m on level 10 on ‘park city’, which has been the same since level 5. So is that the limit of each location-level 5 and all the other levels are just repeat, repeat? What are the point of covering over extra areas, with the assumption that there further you get, per location, more area and game play there is.
I like it too much to delete, but I would like to have my money’s worth too.
Ad-Riddled and Frustrating
I’ll quickly get the positives out of the way: I like the concept, I like having things to work towards and the map design is cute. This wasn’t enough to keep me interested though; I wanted to relax while I play this kind of game, but good god there are constant pop ups and distractions everywhere. Every several items you find, there’s an ad. Or it pops up to disrupt your gameplay notifying you that you can play night modes or black and white modes regardless of whether or not you’ve actually played those maps - destroying any flow you had to try and take you somewhere else. There’s constantly pop ups and new hidden objects spawning to try and keep your interest, and at every turn there’s an option to watch another ad on top of the several that will play that give no reward. My gameplay was being disrupted by this so often that it was frustrating and I absolutely hate feeling like the game is trying to annoy me out of my money. With extremely thinly veiled manipulative tactics present in the plethora of in-app purchases also available and a volume of ads so high that most of my play time was spent waiting to skip them, I can’t recommend this to anyone. By principle I don’t care how fun it might be if I wasted the money to stop these ads because of how heavy-handedly the game is designed to push you in that direction.
Scavenger Hunt
This is a great game-the ads came thick and fast so I paid to have none. I’ve been getting a small circle with what looks like a gold and green castle on it that says ‘Open’ I think this is a dangerous bug but I can’t get rid of it, and when I play I’m always in danger of tapping on it. It’s first on the Mars hunt, so not immediately visible, and is towards the top right hand corner. I’ve tried deleting the ap then downloading it again, but it’s still here. I’d definitely give this game 5 stars if you can get rid of this. Just had to delete this game as the gold and Green ‘open’ thing is on the next search as well. It’s obviously designed so that you will eventually tap it by mistake. I don’t want to concentrate on not tapping on it as it spoils the enjoyment of the game. I’ll try reloading again after a couple of weeks to see if you’ve managed to fix this worrying problem. Can’t see my review. Would’ve thought it would be first being one of the most recent. Are you going to try and fix the problem that I have?
