Schengen Simple 4+

I had some concerns with functionally on an another Shengen app that I had been using over the past 2 years. On occasions I did not understand the result of an entry, I found it difficult to believe it and understand why. So my confidence started to wane. So I started to investigate a number of other apps and found that I dumped them within minutes. Then I came across “SchengenSimple”. Firstly it shows two calendars, the normal in that it displays when you “can” stay and indicates very prominently when you can’t or when you MUST exit. Secondly a calendar that is accessed by clicking on an icon of a border/ passport guard, “neat”. This shows in calendar form exactly how many days you have stayed and when. I am not saying the authorities would accept it but it would be certainly worth showing it to display your movements and compare your data in a dispute. There is also an easy to read list of your stays. What I found really useful compared to the other app was the warnings and the explanations of why you were or about to overstay. We try to plan ahead all our stays and get as much out of our allowance as possible, so if you like to adjust the various stays to get the maximum days this is brilliant.
This app is really good at displaying the reasoning.

This is a very clever app. Firstly it stores all your history so unlike other similar calculators you don’t have to re enter all your dates every time you need to check a date. Secondly, if like me you plan several trips in advance you can see how future plans will impact earlier ones. So assuming your later plans can be changed should you not manage to leave on a planned date for any reason, eg weather or flight delays, you can plan to leave on the last permitted day taking into account future trips. But if you do overstay that last exit day you would have to modify the future trip. At first I found that difficult to understand but this app was a step ahead of me. I can thoroughly recommend it.

I’m immediately impressed by this app. It looks good but also it is intuitively easy to use and presents the information that I’ve entered in a easy to understand, and very easy to edit form. The only thing I am not sure about is whether my subscription will cover its use on both of my devices, my iPad and my iPhone, and whether the information entered on one will be automatically mirrored on the other. I guess time will tell! It is so much better than any other website or app that I have tried for this tricky Schengen calculation.

UPDATE
A super app has become even better now that automatic syncing has been introduced. And a big extra plus, the developer is so open to feedback and suggestions.

To answer your questions:
Yes, the one purchase covers you across all Schengen Simple apps using the same Apple ID. You can now use Schengen Simple on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Syncing across devices is the next feature we're rolling out - it will be live in the next version (v1.2) of the app, which should be released in the next week or so.
