Schwab is Excellent and efficient

Since I moved to Schwab, it has made all my financial management so easy and takes always the stress of it all. The service provided by Schwab is top notch and their mobile services are also very easy to whether on iPhone or iPad.

Good service, Still lots of app work to do - fix notifications

I like Schwab’s service and they are an excellent brokerage overall. That being said, they’re still working on bringing their app into the modern era.

One of the annoying things that needs to be fixed is the “Important Notifications” banner that is always at the top of the main screen. If you click through it (2+ clicks), it just leads you to things like opening hours or a link to FAQs. This is not worth prime app UX real estate and should be moved into the hamburger menu.

There are several other items that should be fixed. I am not sure the bottom tab options (Summary, Order Status, Trade, Markets, More) match actual user needs. I suspect most customers probably just use the main Summary view to track aggregate assets and do most actual trades online instead given the UX.

In general, the UX feels like a website vs a modern app, and could do with refreshing. Hope it continues to improve.

Be careful

If you are not from the US, you might want to think hard before you invest because you will not be able to get your money out. Depositing money into your account is easy as 123. You just need to transfer the money into a JP Morgan Chase account. But to get money out, it’s impossible.

Also, the Schwab application is very clunky and confusing. It’s difficult to find your way around. And you always have to call the US anytime you need any help.

I will not put my money on a one way road to Claude Schwab ever again
