Replica is an app that takes video from your iPhone or iPad and puts it onto your TV using screen mirroring.
Normally you'd need a device that supports AirPlay but not with Replica!
With Replica installed you can send video to almost any TV or computer.
Supported devices include streaming devices such as Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, and many more.
Smart televisions from Samsung, LG, TCL, Xiaomi, Sony Bravia, Philips, Hitachi, and Toshiba are just some of those supported.
You can even use Replica to put video onto your Tesla's big screen, too. In fact, any device with Apple Safari, Google Chrome, or Microsoft Edge installed can receive video from Replica.

Only app I could get to work to mirror my iPhone to my Samsung TV. Managed to connect my Sonos speakers so could get sound and there was only a very slight delay between the picture on the TV and the sound from my Sonos speakers.
However not all my apps work in the mirroring mode. I primarily bought the chromecast to allow me to do Nike training club work outs from my TV rather than my phone but the videos from the app do not play when in mirroring mode.
Big disappointment- however can’t tell where the issue lies- is it with the chromecast or is it with the broadcasting app!!!!

Some applications do not allow capturing the screen, the TV screen will be black.

So far, so good
After looking for a suitable app to mirror my I phone 12 mini I was pleased to find one with some decent positive reviews, together with a sensibly priced subscription.
We receive many videos of our grandsons in Australia via WhatsApp and this app has solved the issue of trying to view them on a small screen, we are now able to cast them to our smart tv which makes the viewing a pleasure
I am very pleased with the ease of use and the quality of the image so as I’ve said ‘ So far, So good, and I’m sure the app will not disappoint during future use 👍🏻

Free trial is a bit of a scam
I downloaded this the app says a three day free trial which can be cancelled in the Apple App Store. I selected it but you get charged immediately, and when you go in to iCloud to cancel it you can’t as you’ve already signed up for this subscription, so it’s not actually a free trial which is misleading. you then have to go to the report a problem section of Apple to request a refund of your purchase which comes through in 14 days. All other apps allow you to cancel during the free trial via iCloud easily, but the developer has not set it up this way which makes it more difficult - so to say that there is a free trial when you get charged immediately is very misleading.

You have two options to use the App: The first with a free version of the App, in this you do not subscribe to any plan. You can use the App for 15 minutes and it will be cut off (it has a temporary limit), but you can reconnect without any cost. In this plan there are advertisements. The second, with a subscription, can be annual, monthly... in this one you have a 3-day trial and on the fourth day the payment will be made if you have not canceled. In this plan there are no temporary limits or announcements.
