Trying out all football manager games....
So lately I’ve been trying out pretty much all the free football manager games and this so far is excellent. The only issue I have is I play this on the iPad and catching my match is quite difficult with family etc. I would say that the time of the matches are really good morning 9:15 afternoon 19:30 (school run and kids bath time unfortunately lol) so I’m yet to experience a live game but I prepare well before every game and I’m top of the table. Nice screen easy to find features. The only issue I have is the amount of money it costs for tokens to upgrade facilities but most games are like that however you can earn them betting on your own match (when you catch it) and doing achievements.
All in all good game, enjoying it.
Trying SEASON 20 out
It is a really good, fun game to play but the only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because the intro is very long to long for my liking and it was going into too many details for which I already knew. Which is why I think that it should ask you if you want the intro or not and it was going over the very Basic, like this button is to go back but overall I do recommend it this game to everyone who likes football.
It’s good but...
Good game on most fronts. Unfortunately like most games now, progress is morale-crushingly slow and you find yourselves outclassed unless you’re spending money on app purchases to keep up. The in-app purchased themselves seem very overpriced for their actual gameplay value. It’s a struggle to keep a hold of staff and players, it’s completely unsustainable.
Even playing the long game and investing solely in the youth academy doesn’t bear much fruit. You can only get the best talent in rare packs.
However if you can afford this or look past it, it can be immersive and enjoyable. There’s always something to do with often two games a day, training the team, players etc. There seems to be decent tactical options to choose from once you can attain good enough players to properly execute them.
It’s obviously rather more lucrative for developers to have you constantly need to spend money on app purchases on a “free” game, than paying one lump sum. This is no different. The problem here is that in-app purchases are expensive and not very effective, they just keep you from drowning.
