Don’t waste your time
I went they the Govt ID process with secure ID and fulfilled ALL requirements, only to be told at the end:”Secureidentity was unable to verify your identity.” No reason is given; no opportunity to provide other info is given; ie no practical help at all and they have the cheek to say “try again”. Why would I want to waste another 40 minutes? The site is riddled with spelling errors giving the impression that a badly educated teenager has put it together. Appalling!
Worked fine for me but
… obviously YMMV as shown by the many aggrieved reviews here. I’m a little unsure whether we’re all reviewing the app or the whole Verify process - would people have got better results if they’d tried another provider, Barclays or the PO or Experian (?!?) or whoever? Dunno, can’t see which bit is governed by whom. All I can report is that this particular setup worked like a charm for me and I can now cheerfully contemplate what peanuts I’m getting for my state pension eventually- woo woo woo!
Good luck, all.
Uses incorrect information
Having gone through the process almost to the end (passport details, driving licence, bank account details) I was asked a final question about a fictitious transaction which I had supposedly entered into. When I answered in the negative I was told I had failed the verification process. Any system that generates fictitious transactions in your name to verify your identity must be very suspect. I am surprised that it is used by HMRC.
