Sensory Captions is an accessibility tool to support hearing impaired people when in meetings, events, appointments and when out and about. It provides live text captions in English of any person speaking, along the bottom of the screen and a caption history option on the right hand side (scrollable). It will also connect usbc smart glasses with displays, such as XReal Air. This can allow the user to look at the people during a discussion or meeting, rather than appearing distracted by looking at the phone. The live transcription is performed offline on device, and not via a cloud service, so data is not transferred to the cloud. We would recommend using an external microphone for your device, to place in the best position to hear the speaker(s) well enough for accurate transcription.
